LOL...funny how haters are still trying to get Nintendo fans to argue about specs even on this thread. The point to this is that IT DOESN'T matter how many polys the Wii U is pushing as Wii U games will be able to craft visually appealing games in HD!!! The Wii U's deficiency to PS4 (esp in the case of the X1) won't matter as all consoles will have very similar effects and the difference won't be as drastic as Wii vs X360!!! Besides I don't care how many polys the Wii U is pushing when I am playing games that look like this:

Everyone should care about specs, as they drive games forward. Developers have more scope for their games if they have more power. Console makers should push for hardware on the powerful side so early adopters and enthusiasts can drive the prices down for everyone else, and there isn't a disadvantage for everyone else as the previous gen doesn't just disappear in the meantime.

What Nintendo seems to be doing with the Wii U is try and cut the legs off the PS360, rather than compete directly with the PS4 and XB1. It's a valid strategy, but doesn't give developers much to look forward to.

I really can't understand why people keep saying about ps4/x1, the only thing that sony fans can do is speaking about specs, when their games doesn't look anything VASTLY superior than the other consoles

Dude...just stop. Hes basically saying the same thing. Stop worrying about graphics. Graphics are one thing but this gen Nintendos problem will be more than just a simple thing like graphics.

when did Nintendo gamers ever care about specs, unless it equalled to better gameplay (Super Mario 64 over PS1 3D platformers)

They care about it. Trust me if Nintendo was to dominate with gameplay, sales and have graphics they would be explain how great their graphics are no different from a Sony or Microsoft fanatic. With Nintendo it doesn't really matter, as graphics expand their art style gets prettier (as far as aesthetic). I love how Mario Kart is looking and being a gen behind doesn't mean shit for Nintendo because as I said before their games are mostly made around art style. Its not like Crytek who has to have every single game be so photorealistic to the point where it trumps all creative instinct. I've had this issue with them since Crysis one.

don`t worry, nintendo has the quality covered. it`s sony and MS who have to worry about it,because slightly pretier graphics won`t do anymore.

Quality is something i've Never had to worry about with Nintendo. Their problem is mostly third party support. The deals they are making with Platinum is smart, but I would've use a different more notable company to westerners to be more profitable, but Nintendo nailed themselves in the coffin with third parties for this gen for sure.

I know it's hard for you to think outside of your narrow and simplistic worldview, and I'm sorry that we can't all be hardcore gamers like yourself, but did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, someone would prefer artistic style graphics to photorealistic style graphics?  I bet it irks you that not every game looks like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, etc.
