I won't play a lot of these games because I will be busy with the next gen games unfortunately

Is there actually a  real traditional JPRG announced for next gen yet (ps4,xbone) ? I hope that they don`t extinct in this gen. Sadly many japanese developers don`t have the budget or interest to make next gen jrpgs :/

Nope not a single one, JRPG developers always try to develop games for the past gen as long as they can before moving to next gen so its gonna be up to Sony or Microsoft to fund some next gen JRPGs or make their own.

I wouldn't get my hopes to high for the witch and the hundred knights, i'm still not sure it will lauch before FFXV =/

It's odd how most of the ones I'll be buying will be on a last-gen console too.

2014 looks like another great year like 2013. Nice after first half shortages this generation.

I think 2014 looks like it could be the best year for console RPGs we've had last gen(PS360,) and for this gen(3DS, Vita, Wii U) it could be better than 2013, but I don't really see that happening unless the quality of each is excellent.

I'm most interested in Lightning Returns for 2014 though.  I didn't like FInal Fantasy 13, never played Final Fantasy 13-2, and from what we've seen about Lightning Returns, the story might suck, but gameplay looks really good.  So Lightning Returns might be able to pull off what FF10-2 did.  Horrible story, but gameplay that was so good, that it's still a good game.  In my opinion, the gameplay to Lightning Returns looks Demon's Souls-like with an ATB system and a class change system like Final Fantasy 10-2, except each class has their own stamina and MP that regain throughout the battle, so you'll switch to others and fight with that class while the others are all recovering.  The game shows off the quest system, another feature that was heavily implemented in Final Fantasy 10-2 and so far it also looks really nice here as well.  This might be the best Square Enix game this gen.

wasn't the game delayed a few times ? =o

I remember it was delayed in Japan back in 2012 or w/e, but I don't remember hearing anything about the localized version getting delayed.

I've followed the few first delayed, then i stopped cause i was too busy searching for infos about vXIII.

I'm happy it did make it to japan tough, i didnt get any feedback.
