That was fast, expected, and now the only thing doubters had to really pick at the PS4 for (outside of launch titles) is also going way of the dodo.

You underestimate the creativity of haters.

Nah, I know their game. In fact, the never cease to amaze me. ;)

More good news for those interested. I just came across this;

MP3 Support, DLNA and more features to follow on 2nd PS4 update

Though there have been a few missteps on Sony’s behalf  from the recent FAQ post riddled with mistakes of no MP3 support, NoDLNA support, and a few other features that are not available at launch.  We were able to speak to a Sony rep today about if any of these features could be implemented in the near future and much to our surprise we have received a “Yes“. The future update that is in process to be rolled out shortly after the PS4′s launch(November 15th) will include the following detailed features listed below:

  • Legacy headset support
  • Mp3 support for not only in-game but non gaming as well.
  • Suspend and resume play feature

All of these features are set to hit PS4′s consoles by late 2013- to early 2014. Which we hope Sony will deliver sooner upon. From what we know these features are being packed in the 2nd forth coming PS4 firmware update.  Also these details were hinted today when Shuhei Yoshida  made a post on twitter stating that he had a discussion with otherPlayStation 4 development team members about received feedback. With this news being provided Those these features are a definite step in the right direction. We were still unable to confirm future external hard drive support for media or game data would be supported later on. lastly we’re still waiting to hear if there will be future YouTube support for video sharing. What do you think of this good news do you think Sony still needs more features to claim the living room in this next gen console war? comment below let us know.

I had a feeling these features wouldn't be missing for long. Like I said earlier, I don't really use them on my PS3, but it's good for those who do.

While I hope this is true, maybe we should wait for a more credible source to confirm this?

Seems like it could be some low traffic website trying to get some clicks and attention to their site.

Well, that doesn't sound good at all. Is it a software matter, so they might enable it later on? It would surprise me if it didn't work for X1 since you can sync 360 very easy with W8.

Nope XB1 will not have any DLNA support OR Windows Media extender capabilities. Not sure on .mp3s though.

Link please?

There's a NEoGaf thread (tried searching for it) with a developer tweet about no DLNA on XB1. It's only one source and since I cannot remember the person who tweeted it I'll have to say it is still unconfirmed.

But just found this thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=707051 and this tweet from Major Nelson:

 so...

Hey, thanks a lot! I was hoping for something more solid, spec-wise, but Major Nelson seems to pretty much confirm it.

This, I stole from grandpa...It's called soap.

Yeah, it would be strange for some random "Sony rep" to break the news rather than someone like Yoshida.

that's not a big deal 2 me,since I'm all about the games and movies. I like music, but I'm just not into it nearly as much as those other things.

Don't you have any digital movie files? They won't work on PS4

nope,I buy blu-ray movies. I'm not a tech-savy person. I'm not that big into any kind of digital download.
