The gamecube is the only Nintendo system i ever bought and i liked it alot. Actually i still have it under my TV (along with the PS2, PS3 and X360).
Though with all of the ports and HD remakes, its starting to lose some value. I still keep it there cause i didnt finish Zelda twilight princess and i still have Skies of arcadia legends to go through (i beat it on the DC).

I'm still of the opinion that the GC produced the better graphics of its gen, and people didnt care anyways. So, its interesting to see people saying they want more powerful systems from Nintendo nowadays.

Because it was never about the graphics, it was always about how devs utilizes that power for innvation in gameplay. More power in the consoles will just make it even harder to maintain them financially. Sony learned that the hard way with the PS3. Gaming Consoles was never ment to replace gaming PC, they were ment to have exclusive games for the consoles. That's why its so hard to play most third parties games this gen, for me that is.

I think you didnt catch my sarcasm. ;)

By interesting i meant ridiculous.

My bad ^^;

Every fucking day of my life.

It was the first console I ever owned myself and the first two games I got were Super Smash Bros Melee and Super Mario Sunshine. Loved them both too bits.

After a couple of years and getting other Gems like Windwaker, Tales of Symphonia, Resident Evil Remake, Skies of Arcadia, Soul Calibur 2, Mario Party 4, Mario Kart Double Dash, Luigi's Mansion, Metroid, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and F-zero I foolishly (due to extreme lack of cash and strong desire to play more final fantasy games) traded in my entire collection for a PS2 and the games Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy IX and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas which i greatly enjoyed.

Upon getting a Wii a year and a half later made me really desire having all my GameCube games back. Ended up buying a couple i missed though such as Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes and Animal Crossing.

Great forum thread.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

phantasy star online - phantasy star ep3 card - billy hatcher - sonic adventure - starfox adventures

it was a good system for me, i still keep my wii as a gamecube

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

GCN is the first thing I plan to buy when I get a job. I never owned one as a kid and was super jealous my friend had one. After all I was an N64 kid. And when I go through the list of games there are its just insane how many great games there are. Also the GCN has one of the best controllers. I wish the WiiU Pro Controller was a slightly modified GCN controller

Loved the controller and the games library.  Don't "miss" the console itself as it's packed away in a closet and since wii is bc and still hooked up under the "U".

Yes, because the gamecube kicked ass.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

My Wii is my back-up GCN, sad it died on me. Luckily it happened when I just bought my Wii at the time (which is the very first console I bought with my hard earned cash! XD) But I gotta say it was my own ineptitude due to many times falling off from shelves. That was one tough, heavy-duty indigo lunchbox, lads! X'D

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

I agree with you, it may have not been the best but there was just something great about the little machince that kept me coming back. Though we may never get the GameCube back, at least release the controller for the Wii U. The Gamepad is cool, but I'm not much of a fan of it.

Cant miss something i never had. I never had it because i felt it was the start of the decline of nintendo games. I could not stand the ones i played

everyone who had a GC simply loved it.
