Grew up in the outside of Europe, mainly in the Americas (a year in the US)
Only now do I live in Belgium
French father, Spaniard mother
As a kid my answer would have been the US - toys are less expensive, land of entertainment, hyperbolic teenage hood, the space (not only nature and cars, houses are bigger too, especially in the south of the US) and the feeling that as a consumer you get served first.
Now my answer is more in favor of Europe for the exact same reason.
I truly do not care for average income and distribution of wealth, it s pretty much the same, especially when you pull your head out of your ass and compare with the vast majority of the planet.
Health Insurance, abortion, religion and other "policies of life" are also not very meaningful too mee for the same matter of contrast.
What truly interests me are people, the way they think and the way they behave.
I am a consumer, just like any other. But there is a mix between consumerism and culture in the US which is simply tragic.
The trend of mass manipulation is the US is now being followed by that of micro manipulation. 48 rules of Power to conquer the office, PNL techniques to seduce, to negociate, etc.
Everything from politics to religion has absorbed marketing techniques almost without any limit.
At least in Europe it is easier to find someone authentic and have a good conversation.
Last but not least, women, much better in Europe in everyway.
