Not really, pretty sure they've already said it's a new series, haven't they (don't quote me on this)?
Either way, I think I remember the game looking closer to the Four Heroes of Light spin-off than FF III, but I still can't wait to play it!

four heroes of light is no spin off. and square can call it whatever they want, it is final fantasy.

Can't it be a spin-off and still be a Final Fantasy game? Not that I really mind, it's been a lot of fun so far, so I just wish I had more time to play it.

Can't it be a spin-off and still be a Final Fantasy game? Not that I really mind, it's been a lot of fun so far, so I just wish I had more time to play it.

the point is that no final fantasy is a spin off.

Yea FF: The 4 Heroes of Light is a spin off game, just look at Wikipedia.

It's still Final Fantasy, just not a main series game, and Bravely Default is a sequel for it.
