Their is around 4mil WiiUs out there, how many of these 4mil WiiU owners also have a PS3and/orXbox360? Probably alot. I'd go as far as to say that it's probably half of them if not more. With the WiiU version offering less but costing the same price, why would any of these 2mil multiplat owners buy it on WiiU? They will all buy it on their other consoles. So out of these 4mil, take away half of them that will obviously buy it on other consoles thx to Ubisoft, and also take away those who are legimately not interested in the game, how many sales are left?
It's not that WiiU owners don't buy 3rd party games, it's that WiiU owners who most of them are multiplat owners buy 3rd party games on their other consoles for obvious reasons provided by those 3rd party publishers. Me for example, I'm a WiiU owner. Will Warner Bros get a WiiU version of Batman Origins from me? No, because I preordered the limited edition on PS3 cause WiiU not only did'nt have the limited edition as far as a know but also lacks the entire multiplayer mode. They will still get a sale from a WiiU owner but not the WiiU version since they are offering a subpar version. But offcaurse me buying it does'nt matter cause WB will obviously bitch and moan about WiiU owners not buying their games neverless.

Missing DLC it's not the same thing as missing a multiplayer mode, missing features or bad frame rate. It's the same full game in every console with the same gameplay and probably almost the same performance. The reality is there's is a minority who really buy DLC for games. If peope really choose the ps3/ps4/360/one version over Wii U version, it would be for whatever reason except DLC, so if the game is destined to flop on Wii U, with or without DLC, it won't make a difference. And if wii U owner would keep making excuses in every chance they have then don't complain when developers cease once and for all to develop for Wii U. First years of ps3 owners were similar, always having the worst version of games with badly frame rate and ps3 owners still buy the games and look at now, 360/ps3 version looking almost the same. The choice is simple, buy the version or don't have any version at all.

The difference with the WiiU and PS3 is that in 2007 ppl who had PS3 most of them was their only console. PS3 was so expensive, their competition the X360 was also quite expensive and only 1year old. Meanwhile with WiiU today, everyone has a PS3 or xbox360 since they are all cheaper and so old now. So ppl were buying PS3 games cause they did'nt have a choice, if the better versions of all games on ps3 were also available on other consoles that had a combined of 150mil units I doubt alot of Ps3 owners would have bought those games on PS3. Don't give me the argument that Ps3 gamers are better suporters of their consoles cause if that was the case games would'nt sell better on Xbox360.
And DLC does matter when their is nothing else to distinguish the versions. When I have two platforms available, both have the same price, both have the same content on the disc (altho ps3 has 1hour more) but only ONE of the two have DLC, I have no reasons what so ever to chose the WiiU version. I would be paying exactly the same amount of money for what is less, even if what is less does'nt matter to me it's still less. I almost never buy DLC, but who knows? What if I love the game way more than I thought I would and want more? What if they announce 1 piece of DLC that I must have cause I think it's awsome? I can't know for sure, so between paying 60$ for a disc with the option or 60$ for the same disc but w/o the option the choice is simple since despite not caring for DLC the WiiU version gives me nothing to balance the lack of DLC leaving a hole. If the game was 50$ instead of 60$ then now I would say that it evens things out but it's not.
You talk like it should be normal for ppl who have choices to choose the option of paying the same amount of money for less. But it's not.

1 part bolded: if this is the case, then there's no hope for good Wii U third party sales. Additionally, how do you know with fact that Wii U owners are multiplatform owner and not the hardcore nintendo only fans? because as far as I know, there's a huge nintendo community that only buy nintendo consoles so it could go either way, i don't know, this looks like another excuse for mediocre multiplatform sales.
2 part bolded: No,they weren't better supporter as a whole but still bought the games decently enough to keep the platform for getting multiplatform games despite experiencing a huge amount of hate from developers or you forgot those days when ps3 "were "praised" for been a nightmare to develop for.
3 part bolded: And here I always thought the unique gamepad gameplay was enough to distinguish from every other versions. You would realize what I'm talking about when ps4 and One releases. Despite ps4 being cheaper and having 1 hour of exclusive gameplay compare to xbox one, i can assure you that AC4 on xbox one will sell much better than Wii U version considering that both platforms(ps4/one) are starting from scratch. But i know what your thoughts gonna be, they will be xbox one only owners so they will not have other choice but to buy it, but what about the choice of not buying anything at all? that only apply to Wii U owner?. I get it, Wii U is only worth it as a secondary console from your point of view, that's is why the majority are multiplatform owners according to you.
If the gameplay is the same as every other versions, the unique gamepad gameplay should be enough to overcome some missed DLC that i know a lot of the gamers don't buy anyway because buying a game for just bragging rights even though they know for sure that they won't be buying the DLC, it's just hilarious. But i guess this is just a matter of opinion and nothing more.
