Comparing the Last of Us against Heavy Rain or some other scripted game that plays like an interactive movie game would be much fairer. This comparison is just like comparing Heavy Rain with Skyrim. Comparing scripted action game with an open world RPG/action game is not very fair.

Loving this thread so far. Keep on going guys. Biggest game launch ever but yet its fans feel like minority proponents, losing the poll and discussion when going against something they don't even consider a game.

Yes because we all know popularity and sales = quality everytime. i mean Duck Dynasty is better then breaking bad. COD is the best game ever, Mcdonalds make the best burgers....Irrelevant, and a total strawman argument.

Everyone has a different opinion, we all like different things because guess what? .... We are all different people.
So with that said I will respect every ones choice on on which was the game of the year, but as for mine thus far is
NBA 2K 14 SON, no jk I have to say its either The Last of Us or Bioshock Infinite (just cuz im a sucker for steampunk).
But I would Like to state that Both of those games did something that isn't done all too well with video games all that often and that is have some Fuckin Bad Ass female leads, Both Ellie and Elizabeth Kick some major ass.
But those are my choices and My opinions so just let me have them cuz you wont change them, so leave it at that

TRLOU is nothing like heavy rain, horrendous comparison. TLOUS is not scripted nor a movie, that is simply moronic. Where does thiws Scripted movie BS come from? Is it just nintendo or xbox fans? GTA has a tonne of cut scenes is that a movie too? There is a tonne of gameplay, and outstanding at that in TLOU.
