Man, I haven't seen any episode of this new season, really liked the first one.

Loved the season premiere, will be really interesting to see where the season goes from here. The next two chapters are called "Civil War" so you know things are going to heat up.

Was looking around earlier and found this article called "Why Legend of Korra Matters", thought it was an interesting piece. The guy clearly likes Korra and TLA, if you wish to read the link is below.

In case you didn't know, I have a comic book called Guardians. I'm the writer/creator of it, and we have four issues out right now, with our fifth coming out soon!

We're also doing a Patreon right now for the comic, and I'd appreciate any and all help in getting it funded. If 56 people pledged $3 per issue, we'll be funded

Yeah, Korra just brought a world of hurt, all cause she won't listen...

As an aside I'm currently taking a Psych and Education course, and we're currently learning about learning methods.  They should put Korra in the text book as a challenge XD.

I would take a Psych class if it was all about cartoon and anime characters. I know a few that could use some help...

The "Civil War" starts tonight! Anyone else excited?

"Hey, I'm going to forget all of season one and become an uber bitch towards everyone!" - Korra.

Seriously not happy with Korra in the premiere. She gets pissy over every little thing, and seems to have disregarded any sort of progress made with Tenzin in S1. Mako was literally just Korra's boyfriend. Sadly, that might be an improvement for his character. Bolin, pleasepleaseplease don't just be comic relief. He's my favorite character. I used to be a Korra/Bolin guy, but... yeah, Bolin's too good for her. Poor guy. Asami! Come back?

More vacation Tenzin (and family)! More Jinora!

Initial impressions: Unalaq == Tarrlok

Animation: KILL IT WITH FIRE. Very disappointed.

Overall, it was enjoyable but very fast paced and there were a lot of rather glaring issues. On the bright side, the biggest flaw (Korra's bitchy attitude) means there is a lot of potential for growth. Jinora's story is the most interesting to me right now.

Saw the new episode. Without spoiling anything, I think it's a huge improvement on the premiere (at least from a storytelling angle).

With spoilng things...

Korra hits maximum bitchiness due to the pressures of reuniting the water tribes without incurring a war. Thankfully, she makes amends with her parents by the end of the episode, and managed to regain some of her likability. Phew.

Mako is still a problematic character, because as of right now he doesn't have any major aspirations beyond being Korra's boyfriend. Shame. He seemed right at home as a Republic City cop, dispensing one-liners like a wanna-be action star. Now he's just there to listen to Korra and Bolin and give them poor advice. :/ Well, at least he'll put up with Korra. That alone is surely enough for him to earn his boyfriend status.

Speaking of Bolin, he seems to be in a rough spot. He realizes that his relationship with Eska is everything but healthy, but can't bring himself to end it (because he's too afraid of her). He's also a bit of a mooch right now, without a job (is Future Industries looking to hire anyone full-time?) and without a clear solution to his overly dependant nature.

But, the most interesting part of the episode was Team Tenzin. Partly because it broadens the narrative beyond Korra and her usual action-packed drama, and mostly because I want more character development for Tenzin. I just do.

Finally, Unalaq quickly turns to be very reaonable and not villainous. Well, until the end of the episode, because the moment you think he's alright... he has to do something hateable. Still, I don't think he's the real villain thus far. Varrick is looking increasingly suspect.

Wow. What an episode right? The twist at the end, the water war, Korra and her family, Tenzin and his family.

Wow.

So many questions, how are they going to end this? Oh and here's a good review of it.

I want to like you, Korra. I really do. Her emotions are all over the place. I look forward to that calming down. The bit with her reuniting with her parents was way too rushed, but it was at least a nice touch. Unalaq, you jerk.

Seeing Mako outside of his relationship with Korra was nice... even if he was just playing a very similar role with Bolin. Also, Bolin's shot at Mako was hilarious. "I'm lucky you're so good at breaking girls' hearts. Korra'd better watch out! Oooh..."

Vacation Tenzin took a rather serious turn. That's okay though, because I liked it. It is a bit strange to see these rather old siblings acting like they're under 10, but despite that, I do like both Kya and Bumi, and I look forward to seeing how the three resolve their differences. Also, learning more about how Aang may have been great at some things, but maybe not so much at others is a very nice touch.

Asami! Come back!

The animation still feels off. The scene where Bolin, Mako, Korra, and the twins are at dinner really stood out to me. After the twins leave, Bolin starts freaking out, and Mako and Korra both remain completely motionless the whole time. No reaction or anything. Also, some of the action scenes looked a bit odd. Some of it was very good, though.

Overall, decent. I don't want to judge this episode too heavily until we've seen the complete arc.

agreed, we should not judge it until the end. Korra is starting to turn into a more mature being (IMHO), at first she had all this pent up frustration because of her father and Tenzin, and then her tribe, now it's starting to be vented and she's trying diplomacy.

Hopefully the next episode will continue that....while still allowing her to kick serious butt!
