Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Bayonetta 2 Reportedly Runs in 1080p 60fps

People are over blowing the 1080P, 60 FPS nonsense. Any game can run at it, it just depends on what the devs want to do. PONG runs at 1080P, 60 FPS, doesn't mean jack.

He's right though.

People are gauging its performance based on shoddy first-year multiplatform ports built around architecturally different hardware and farmed out to C-team devs, which is an absurd and inaccurate measuring stick of a system's true capability.

Metal Gear Rising runs at 60FPS and it looks similar to Bayo2 graphically, plus it has blade mode, which is a nightmare for CPU. Bayo2 1080p and 60FPS really isnt that impressive, at least for a next gen system

MGSR is noticeably less detailed and expansive than Bayo 2.

I like how people can come in and derail this thread but no ban occurs. Since its a Ninty thread in not surprised.

I like how you double post without contributing anything to the thread, flame a bit to top it off, then proceed to get yourself banned.

OT: I'm really curious to find out if this is true. 60 fps is ideal of course for an action game like Bayonetta, but 1080p to boot? That would be pretty amazing, imo. It's going to be an amazing game, that's for sure; the trailers look fantastic!

yeah, can you believe that they said that the game still hasn't reached it's prime in development? i'm excited to see how well this game will look next year at launch.

Yup, It's going to be grand! They haven't actually shown much of the game, nor spoken about it so much at all. It'll probably be a while before it releases, but I can't wait until they show more!

for them to have such a functional and smooth demo by E3, I think it will probably release in 2014's first semester.

The first stage of grief is Denial.

The second stage of grief is Anger.

The third stage of grief is Bargaining.

And we all know what stage Nintendo fans are stuck on.

None, since they are getting the game.

Like I said, who cares? It's not that relevent of a franchise for people to cry about. Let me put it this way: which would you rather have, Bayo 2 or GTAV, MGSV and the next Battlefield? We can probably say for a fact that the Wii U won't see all three, and chances are, none of them.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to take the latter.

1st Stage, Denial:

"Like I said, who cares? It's not that relevent of a franchise for people to cry about."

2nd Stage, Anger:

3rd Stage, Bargaining:

" Let me put it this way: which would you rather have, Bayo 2 or GTAV, MGSV and the next Battlefield? We can probably say for a fact that the Wii U won't see all three, and chances are, none of them.

We're here to help you through the last couple of stages, dude.

You can't really over blow 1080p @60fps, it's just that good.

Can any console, this gen or last, achieve it? Sure. Do many? Amazingly and irritatingly enough, no, and unlike PCs there's no possible graphical customization for the consumer to achieve it.

We SHOULD be freaking out of this, we SHOULD be rewarding the developers who finally listen to us and aim for this as their top technical priority.  And on top that, this is really an amazing achievement for Wii U hardware when the game activity and texture wise actually looks a little better than the first.

I thought the first and second stage occured simultaneously last year. it was the "this isn't true, of course it will be multiplatform" + the death threats on platinum. now it's the bargaining: "sega can release it on other platforms anytime as long as x, y and z happens and the stars align".

You're right, and I've seen some traces of the Fourth Stage, Depression, as well: "This franchise is gonna die when it bombs on Nintendo's platform :("

It's funny how Wii U is an underpowered last-gen system, then when it gets good-looking games with great performance, that's obviously expected since it's a next-gen system, so it's nothing special anyway. Loving it.

do you mind if i put this in my Sig?

Lol, no not at all, go ahead. XD

and then acceptance will (finaly) come.

More than a little better mate, the difference is night and day.
