the ps2 for it has been out and no more major games are produced. then the psp, 360, ds, ps3, wii.

My guess:

PS2>PSP>360>DS>Wii>PS3

PS2 is hardly a current-gen console, so putting that aside, i'd say the Xbox 360. Mainly because it's selling the LEAST even after releasing its biggest game.

The future looks bleak for MS.

Definetly the PS2 because it has served its purpose. I really think that it has a little more than a year left in it. Out of the next gen systems I really believe that it will be the 360.

PS2 will be dead before the end of the year. Sadly. There will be no new exclusive releases, and Multiplats (like GH IV) will sell better on current-gen consoles.

PSP will be dead in 2009/2010. Software will still be made for the little portable that could, but it will not sell. Sony will be able to focus more on it when the PS2 dies, that's why it will die in 09 or 10, depending on when Sony comes out with the inevitable PSP2

XBOX 360 will be dead in 2010 or 2011. It will be six years after it's launch and MS will have lost to the PS3 and Wii before the end of this year is up, as the PS3 is outselling it on a daily basis.

Nintendo DS will be dead in 2010/2011. It will have been seven years since launch, and Nintendo will have came up with something new... I hope.

Last to die will be Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 3. They will both die around 2012/2013, when their next gen counterparts come out. It's too early to say who will win, but Sony is preparing itself to keep the PS3 out for ten years, with the Blu-Ray player and the power of the system, as it will not look dated for some time.

if sony releases a new handheld
then the ds is next in line then every thing else
if sony drops out of handhelds the 360, ps3 and wii in short order, then the ds will be last
now some possible variations are possible beyond that if ps3 and xbox360 fanboys right and the wii is in a completely different market from them, then there will be no incentive for nintendo to replace the wii when the next gen starts
or if the wii goes all John Lucas on everyone the wii will also go down last

no way the ps3 will last 10 years, and I doubt microsoft will jump the gun again
and remember when it was sustainable nintendo had no problem keeping old technology on the market,
the nes was the main attraction from nintendo for 2 years before it was replaced, and it continued on for another 4 years after that, even longer in Japan
the snes last release was in 1998 (frogger) and the last major US release from Nintendo was kirby 3 in '97, 6 years after the consoles introduction, and in Japan
games were released untill the year 2000
and Seriously look at the original gameboy it was obsolete tech the day it came out (the Lynx actually beat it to market) yet due it was supported with out upgrade until 98

frankly sustaining a system isn't a sony or nintendo exclusive,
where sega found success they sustained the system, the genesis lasted till 98 in the US and Europe (only dieing off shortly before the saturn)
and the master system is still in official production in Brazil through tec toy, because the market exists (granted carts are rare in Brazil), and new games came out till 93 or 94 in Europe, Mortal Kombat 2 anyone?
and atari, new 2600 games and units were produced up until 1990, 13 years
the neo geo had games produced until 2004 due to the mvs success, 14 years of support
You can't expect sony to keep with the ps3 due to past history, nor can you expect the 360 to die early just because microsoft killed the xbox after only 4 years

ds will be the last one to die, i think psp will be first and hopefuly ps3 will be the next one, i hate ps3.

OT: PS2. Other answers seem foolish. 

Either PS2 or PSP, but as long as DS and or Wii exists, these 2 could survive longer. Kinda like no matter how well either PS3 or 360 does, the other will still get games due to oversimiliarities.

I guess I'm going to stick with PS2, as PS2 devs move onto Wii only instead.
