Seems like a cocky thread post that just drips of self superiority, especially when the X1 Gamescom conference is in full swing. Seems like a insecure retort to all the recent announcements and good news.

So I gave the appropriate response.

I'm sorry but you're the one to talk about self superiority:

Sales2099:
It makes me feel like a 1st class gamer knowing the company who makes my console is spending millions just so I can play things first.

I don't see the problem in that as a Xbox gamer. The idea is to make their console attractive....making multiplats favour one console over another is a stroke of genious, making something for everyone feel like an exclusive, even for a period of time. Buzz and sales will favour them and the competition will get it when the gamers have moved on.

I love it, and if other gamers have to wait, its their fault for not picking the right console. Gamers don't like to wait so I take much pleasure in this.

As you think of yourself more deserving of some games because you picked the 'right' console.

Yes I have a double standard here. Bout time a XBox gamer can stand up and talk about the pros of his console without being shot down instantly. God forbid this happens. With a lot of time spent with Sony on a winnign streak (on the console front anyway), you guys can afford this window of the competition revelling in their console.

I'm sorry but I do believe PS fans on this website get pointed out for having double standards, so why should xbox fans not get pointed out?

I did not see sony fans getting any window of revelling in their console when ps3 launched, back then they were being shot down instantly. It goes two ways.

Both Sony & MS fans have double standards. And its been getting worse on this site unfortunately. The nintendo fans actually just enjoy playing games instead of feeling superior over other fanbases. I think MS & Sony fans should try the same. Thats the way it used to be on this site.

The problem with you is that you do not talk about the pro's of your console, you use them to justify your superiority over gamers with different consoles. I know you are not only one who does this (other sony fans as well).

But gaming should not be about feeling superior over other fanbases. It should be about enjoying the console you have and the games that you get.

That comes with any competitive industry. Sports, electronics......it comes with the territory.

Thanks Microsoft, I love paying to play online =D

75% of the people in this site that said "Paying for online sucks" are now in the bandwagon of "I don't mind paying! PSN+ is such awesome!", so yeah, you gotta thank Microsoft.

I take psplus for games, not for online play. Paying for online play is ridiculous and should be taken in charge by devs.

Then you're part of that 25%, just like me. But nothing we can do about it.

The fact that you have PSN+ is what you should be thanking Microsoft, not paying to play online, you dummy xD You enjoy twisting my words!

I don't think Ps+ was initially tought as gold was.

PSplus first purpose was making people play more by "offering" old games to either :

-Advertise the next game (Borderlands for Borderlands 2, payday for payday 2 etc)

-Make people play games they wouldn't have tried (discovering new genres, turning casual in cores)

-Play more = Buy more.

There may already have been a macro-level strategy for later online paywall, but I don't think it was the initial purpose.

Now where does it say servers for ghost is an xbox only feature

Good point, I really hope that something like this isn't an xbox exclusive because I planned on buying this on ps4 to play with friends.  Would be a real shame, this is something every cod fan has wanted whether they realize it or not.  If it is, I guess its time to start convincing my cod gaming buddies to plunge for an X1, gonna be a tough fight though.  Maybe with this news, they'll change their minds lol.

Or just move to Battlefield, rather than give up Sony first party for one game, and pay more.

I'm getting both consoles, it's my gaming buddies that I have to convince to do the same, I already have battlefield 4 payed off for the ps4.

More like xbox first,

also, nobody is stopping sony or nintendo to open up their own servers to host COD because that's not thanks to microsoft having "cloud" features on the console. It's due to servers, like everything stored in the beggining of the internet you know. Till nowadays.

Cloud is just a more friendly way of calling it and making really dumb people understand the concept of always accesible servers.

Why do gamers believe this is some type of switch a company can just turn on.  No, Sony and Nintendo cannot just turn on a switch and suddenly they have enough compacity to host COD or any other game with dedicated servers.  Also MS cloud feature is different from dedicated servers but MS is offering both.  Its an advantage MS has over Sony and Nintendo and its pretty clear one at that.

I wouldnt worry about sony. You act as if they dobt have sever farms already. Plus if they need they could strike a deal with amazon.

Deals cost money which cut into your profit and also if you have to sell it to developers means it probably will cost more than what MS is offering.  Sony does not compete in this space and they definitly have not invested into the cloud and servers like MS.  Really you can easily research this info and know that Sony is not in the ball park.  MS has spent alone in one year on their Datacenters then Sony has made a profit in the last 6 years.  The key is that Sony cannot and probably never will be able to provide the type of service in this area then MS.  They just do not have the capital.

All i hear is bla bla bla bla. You're falling for the ms PR waggon. You really should get off of that.

All I hear is someone who has no clue about the technology they are talking about.  Let me give you a little background.  I work at a software company that heavily use dedicated servers.  We host companies business with our setup and I certainly know the cost of hosting services, dedicated servers and cloud infrastructure.  We pay a company for the servers, then we sell it with our software to business.  So while you can only guess about this stuff, I actually know.  You are talking about technology that you really have no experience with or understand the cost.  You act as if Sony can turn on a switch and suddenly they have enough capacity to support every game with dedicated servers when they do not invest in this area.  All you have to do is a little research in this area before you make statements.  Do your homework.
