Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One Marketing Machine has woken! Game Fuel, Billboards, Movie theaters and much more

UPDATE!

Xbox One Sends a invitation to the world. The marketing machine should be firing on all cylinders, from here on out. If  you have not seen the Xbox One Invitational Video, here is a link..( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1mfIg1I3zE ) October 27th, Xbox One is going to unleash it's machine on NBC Sunday night football. The invitational ad was aggressive, good and to the point. It's no surprise they would want to lauch on Sunday night football being that they are the Official console of the NFL.

Not only that but MS is planning a well planned out marketing strategy. In the 12 markets Xbox one is launching in, they will be advertising with Sports,  Popular Tv shows, Social networks, Billboards, Movie theaters, food and beverages. Also to add to the Marketing Machines reach, MS new Xbox One tour has been going across country since Oct. 1st allowing 1000's of fans to get their hands on Xbox One and upcoming blockbuster games.

Gamer fuel back and looking nice. Xbox to flood the market with non-stop advertisement in the form of a can. Get your fuel or don't, I don't drink pop but for those who don't have indigestion, have at it.  Looks good but I would be hurting after drinking it. LOL

Making all the right moves and allowing for people to understand their new policies with clarity.

Xbox One the Official Console of the NFL.

So I was just in bed watching TV and I seen a  commercial for Madden 25. Well at the end of the trailer, it announced, XBOX ONE THE OFFICIAL CONSOLE OF THE NFL.  MS just won North America by a mile. Wait until every single football fan thinks he is not having the best experience unless he owns a Xbox One. This was a great strategy for MS. You will see non-stop advertisement for XBOX ONE.

"time out on the field. Let's  take a moment to talk about XBOX ONE, the official console of the NFL. BOB! Why don't you show the fans how this machine helps you keep up with your favorite teams like never before."

BOOM!!!!

This is genius and you must give the devil his due. Xbox One is going to xplode.

DORITOS ANYONE?

The machine has been woken.

UPDATE:

FIFA 14 Coming with every Xbox One pre-order in Europe. This is also a great move.

The machine will keep pushing foward. I will update any marketing I see out in the wild on this page.

Wait what. Okay sorry I don't keep up with Madden game news so I might sound dumb when I ask this...

Why is it Madden 25? Don't they usually list the year after the game, so Madden 2014 or 14 or whatever lol.

Today is the day the Xbox team is launching its invitation to the world to join the Xbox One launch on November 22. Designed to celebrate the fans, the campaign will showcase Xbox One as the only all-in-one entertainment system that brings together content loved by gamers, movie buffs, sports fans, and TV lovers, all in one place.

“To celebrate the launch of Xbox One we have designed one of our most integrated and comprehensive global campaigns ever.  The campaign is a celebration of our fans – an invitation to a new generation of games and entertainment.  And it showcases experiences that only Xbox One can deliver,” said Robert Matthews, General Manager of Consumer Marketing, Xbox. “Through the authenticity of the ads, to a massive 75 city experiential tour, to social campaigns that encourage their participation, to creative media executions that let fans become directly involved – we are inviting the world to celebrate the launch of Xbox One.”

The Xbox One television campaign launches in the U.S. on October 27 during Sunday Night Football on NBC and will subsequently roll-out around the world. Titled “Invitation,” the advertising is centered on an invitation to fans to enter a new generation of games and entertainment. The campaign highlights characters and content from games, sports, movies and TV shows that are part of Xbox One, who literally come into your world and invite you into theirs. The campaign was directed by award-winning director Bryan Buckley with visual effects from The Mill. Crispin Porter Bogusky was the creative agency that developed the campaign.

“The ads were designed to celebrate that for the first time, the best in gaming is coming together with the best of entertainment, all-in-one place,” said Matthews. “Authenticity was a key goal for the campaign design, from including one of only three McLaren P1’s in the world to represent 'Forza Motorsport 5,' to including Liverpool football star and England national team captain Stephen Gerrard, to actor Zachary Quinto representing Spock.”

Look for the ads in 12 markets around the world on the hottest TV shows, including NFL football games, The Big Bang Theory, X Factor, Saturday Night Live, Modern Family, The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Duck Dynasty and much more. The campaign will also appear online, on billboards and in movie theaters.

“We’ll also be engaging with fans on social networks, including our fans on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. We’ll have rich interactive experiences on our own websites, as well as others. Fans will also be able to participate in promotional programs with some of their favorite brands including Doritos and Mountain Dew. We’re looking forward to celebrating with our fans and connecting with them in numerous ways over the coming months,” said Matthews.

These campaign elements build on the Xbox One Area One and Test Drive tours, which launched on October 1. Since then, thousands of fans have had the opportunity to get hands on with the Xbox One line-up of blockbuster games at the Area One traveling tour and via Test Drive locations that give people hands-on gameplay in unexpected places. Xbox fans are among the first to get their hands on the upcoming blockbuster games coming to Xbox One, including hotly anticipated titles like "Forza Motorsport 5," "Ryse: Son of Rome," "Killer Instinct," "Dead Rising 3,: "FIFA 14," "Crimson Dragon," "Max: Curse of the Brotherhood," "Lococycle," and more. They have been making madden for 25 Years.

ahh okay.

Dude bros rejoice! Yep, this is definitely the crowd MS wants. It's pretty smart. The American and European gamer who buys annualized games make up the largest percentage of third party title buyers.

COD, Madden, Fifa are the primary objectives.

That some pretty realistic graphics there. Which button creates that play?

MS is smart to go after this audience.

This is kinda the thing with MS to all the Sony fans that were laughing it up all summer -- the XBox division is no push over and especially when it comes to North America they know their marketing and how to target the core audience.

There's so many people I meet even today who think the XBox 360 is more powerful than a PS3, even the PS3 probably has some of the better looking games this gen.

As long as they're not up against Apple, MS tends to know what they're doing. The $100 price differenece is what's really haunting MS now, but if they bundle a game for the US as well, that will go a ways in alleviating concerns I think.

I see nothing too amazing about the strategy (there have been dual commercials / official sponsor of a sport (hell there are even official sponsored vitamins, car, etc).  Basically, it is Microsoft giving money or products to NFL to be associated with it.  I'm sure it will help them with a decent bump (more than perhaps Buick money hatting the PGA or Shaq).  However, it seems MS is more focused on USA market than anything.  It is basically like MS is giving up the rest of the world just for USA.  If they aren't careful they might end up like Atari (Atari mainly sold the most in USA) and only have one main market to sell to.  Of course I'm expecting a money deal with EA for FIFA free game for Europe in bundle or something like that soon to be announced.
