So I think you can classify everyone on video game forums as "hardcore" gamers, whatever that is, so I was wonder how many of you actually liked any of Nintendo's casual franchises, here they are in case you can't remember them:

-Nintendogs/Nintencats

-Brain Age

-Art Academy

-Wii Fit

-Wii Play

-Wii Sports

-Wii Party

-Endless Ocean

(Let me know if I forgot any)

Tbh I like Wii Sports and Nintendogs, don't judge me unless you play it first...

enjoyed all the bolded ones for many of hours, mostly with my 2 sisters. although our biggest games are always Nintendo's platformers like Mario, DK etc.

hell for someone who doesent game me and my sis made it real far in DKCR

i like wii fit and wii sports

I played and enjoyed these:

Wii Sports (bowling is my favorite)
Wii Sports Resort (sword fighting for the win!)
Wii Play (especially the tanks minigame)
Wii Fit (soccerball 'heading', ski jump, etc. are fun as hell and it helped me start a fitness routine)
Wii Fit Plus (the added games and exercises kept me coming back for quite a while, still use it sometimes)

Did not play:

Nintendogs
Brain Age/Brain Academy
Art Academy
Endless Ocean
Wii Party
Wii Music
Wii Play: Motion

I suspect they are all probably decent for what they are but they either didn't interest me enough at the time to spend the money on or I just never got around to them. Did just pickup the Art Academy Sketchpad for Wii U, if I like it I might explore the full Art Academy games.

I have a preorder on Wii Fit U and may pickup Wii Party U if I have the time/money, this fall/holiday are packed with games I want. If Wii Sports 3 ever comes I'll be grabbing that as well. I am a fairly eclectic gamer with a trend towards strategy and rpg games, but my main goal with gaming is to have fun. Despite their negative connotation on the internet for being 'casual' the Wii line and Nintendo other 'casual' games can be loads of fun, which as I said is my main goal with gaming so they fit the bill quite nicely.

Systems Currently Playing: WiiU, PS3, 3DS

Also Have: Atari 2600, NES, SNES, PS1, N64, PS2, Wii, GB, GBC, GBA, DSLite, DSi, Android (RazorMax), iPhone (4), iPad (2)

I liked the first Brain Age when it came out but then I sold my DS sometime after.

Wii Sports is one the few I really enjoy to play!

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

I enjoyed the Wii Sports series quite a bit, actually. I also liked Big Brain Academy on the DS. I don't really care about the other 'casual' franchises, though.

Never played the DS games but played the hell out of Wii Sports / Resort and used Wii Fit / Plus regularly for two years before joining a gym and then marrying a gorgeous fitness training (you guys missed the boat...)

Endless Ocean is one of my all time favourites. Wii Play got a lot of play in my house (mostly tanks/pool) and my wife loves Wii Party so I put five.

Frankly I'm one of those annoying people who bought a Wii for Wii Sport/Fit (And Godfather/Brawl) and not traditional Nintendo franchises (but discovered some along the way)

I thought it was part of the "Wii" franchise... ;)  Is Wii Party on the list because its sequel has already been announced? Unfortunately, there may not be a sequel for Wii Music, due to its reception, because even when it was loved by some people, it could still be vastly improved.

Ya put Wii Party on there because Wii Party U is coming out.

I think you're not a 'hardcore' gamer if you don't also allow yourself to play a wide variety of games, that includes these 'casual' games.

Nonsense! You don't have to play casual games to still be playing a wide variety of games!

Nonsense how? A wide 'variety of games' is not the same as just 'many games'. If you're not playing a lot of different genres, you're not playing a wide variety of games. If you do play a wide variety of games, you're automatically also playing games that are considered casual. You take that as a bad thing? What do you think Mario Kart is?

I just explained how! Wide variety =/= all. You simply don't have to play every single type of genre out there to still be playing a wide variety of games, just like you don't have to play every single game out there. I'd think playing Platformers, RPGs, Fighters, FPS's, sports's games, Adventures, Racing, RTS's, and Action games could still be considering a wide variety despite some missing genres. Your next two questions don't have anything to do with this. You coulda replaced casual with any genre and I still woulda called you out!

I don't get arguing with you .

You explained no such thing in your post, I needed to explain it to you, similar to the 'Mario Kart' incident. And then you would 'call me out' when there's nothing to call out. Even in your own reply you still mentioned genres which mostly consist of casual games by nature anyway.

I don't get it, but whatever, I don't care.
