I think some assets were scrapped when FFXV was in development for PS3 since the game never seemed to fully materialize.

I think what should be in question is in part the RAM. Sure, many of you have pointed out that that the WiiU has more in size, however, it's bandwidth is slower. This can be aided in part with the eDRAM but I doubt it offsets anything drastic compared to PS4/X1 RAM (in size and bandwidth). The GPU in WiiU should handle FFXV in general but Square would have to make cuts, that's for sure (we are probably looking at much lower detail in all aspects similar to a PC game comparison of Ultra to Medium settings with lower resolution).

I'm sure Kingdom Hearts 3 is possible and will eventually be announced for WiiU.

I think until we see what X brings to the table, we will see what the WiiU can do.

Unless they scrapped those assets completly or push the game to the point where it could no longer run on PS3 i doubt both cases, no reason it cant run on WIi U

its not that above PS3 despite what you believe and even if it is, PS4 will still be quite above Wii U. Moreso than WIi U is above PS3
