LOL maybe not. But the existing Total War and the upcoming Rome II are sure to keep me busy and my fandom alive ;)

True dat^^

Rome is one of my favourite games ever, I am planning on playing it again this summer in preparation of Rome II

I have never tried any of the mods before, but am tempted by the darthmod, any others that people recommend?

I'm now interested in this information too.

Wow, and without mods? lol. Usually on a thread like this people have a list of mods that really bring a PC game up to date. Just look at the graphics mods people have released on Morrowind; it looks close to Skyrim quality!

Not sure if their are graphics mods for Rome but it may be worth looking into.

Is it easy to install and uninstall theses mods?

I never tried to install one.

On topic: I played Total War: Medieval 2. Almost 7 years old, but still looks very good when you max everything. One of the best RTS games.

Rome and Medieval 2 are mostly quite similar. The change in setting meant a change in focus for the agents primarily, but they are essentially the same game

I always prefered Rome because of the setting, though of course Third Age Total War did offset that difference somewhat

God damn I love the Total War series. Been playing them since the first one, they're pretty much the only new PC games I play. Not convinced I'll be able to run Rome II.. I only upgraded last time so I could run Shogun II!

There's such a plethora of mods available for some of them, Rome and Medieval II in particular. They're a dangerous time sink though.

I say that big TV's make everything look ugly, as opposed to a small screen.

I find it's usually the opposite, you usually sit much further back from a TV. Sitting real close to a monitor allows you to see more fine detail which means that you can see the small flaws like aliasing, jagged shadows, texture seams etc a lot more.
