next gen is already starting with the release of the Wii U and followed by the OUYA (yes it's an 8th gen console XD) and the PS4 and Xbox One are right around the corner.

I noticed that a lot of people are going for combos, which one seems like the best to you and why?

personally, I think WiiU + PS4 is a great option, PS4 for Sony exclusives and multiplats and the Wii U for exclusives.

Easily Wii U+PS4. You'll get the multiplats, and a huge bunch of good exclusive games.

Why only 2? I will have all of 3 consoles and will not miss any exclusive game on each platform....

getting a PS4 and Xbox One IMO isn't really a good idea,it just seems like about 10% would actually be exclusives while 90% would be multiplatform for both of them

Best multiplats. Best exclusive libraries. Cheapest combo. Most powerful console.

Add on a 3DS and a gaming PC for gaming heaven.

WiiU and PS4. No contest.

I will buy the console even there is just one exclusive game I like.... I don't want to miss any exclusive game which I like...I don't know others, but it is just me....

Besides, it is just 399 + 499 + few games..... far less than my salary....

I will go with ps4 + 3ds. :p
