Whoa this thread caught up to the Brawl update thread. Time to make yet another thread ;)

I think you underestimate a few of Ike's moves.  And yeah, I have experience fighting Eruption.  My goal is usually to get out of the way.  Eruption is one of those moves where the player with the best timing wins.  You have to be quicker on the draw than I do (or just lucky) to catch me with it.  Still, assuming you were quick enough to release it at the right time, I'd either be hit or pushed into grabbing the edge of the platform.  Either way you'd be standing on the platform and could then use Ike's nasty attacks to remove me.

I don't really choose stages, I pick random when I'm out of ideas

and I suck with any other character without pika.......

 It's a learning experience, the only one who it ever works against is Shea though, and now she doesn't fall for it anymore T_T. Although it is a good move for people trying to chase you up in the air since you don't get knockbacked from activating it right when they hit you.

I dunno if this has already been posted (sorry if this is the case). Anyway, I've seen some European ads (e.g. in Eurogamer) that feature Shadow the Hedgehog as one of the game's chars... a mistake, perhaps?

^^^ erm... shadow is an assist trophy in the game, not a playable character
