I'm in the same boat with ONE possible exception. I've already got an X1 on pre-order and have paid for what I hope is most of it. I'm also getting a 3DS this year bu I'm holding off on the WiiU until the price drops either through bundles or, well anything holiday 2014. Waiting sometimes is all you can do!

Right, but i am trying to say is that if you are waiting that means you don't 'really' want it that bad, u know what i mean? Like for u, i already pre-order the X1 because you 'really' want it. which make sense. Eventhough i will most likely end up with a PS4 i don't usually pre-order myself. I am scare of being first one to get a console that may have some tech. difficulties. I usually wait after Xmas.

I don't have a Wii U but if I had to buy one, I'd buy the basic one for dirt cheap and then spend the extra money that you need for the premium to buy a 500GB external hard drive.

I guess I'd be missing out on Nintendoland, but who really cares about that anyway when I can solve the Wii U's hard drive issue in one fell swoop.

I agree with u but apparently the basic version sells way worse than the deluxe version so I can see why they would discontinue it.

Well's that why I'm saying that the basic version shouldn't be selling less. It should be selling more. I don't really see anything much of value that the Premium gives you over basic, especially when you could be buying a sizeable hard drive that you'll need anyway even if you bought the Premium version.

Unless of course people would much rather give up the all important hard drive space for Nintendoland. Or if they want black colour instead of white, which is only aesthetic.

The thing is, I don't REALLY want a Wii U, but at 149 €, it's just too cheap to resist. That would be half of the release price. I just drew my line there, I mean, you have to draw a line somewhere, right? Sure, 30 € ain't that much, but it's just above what I'm willing to pay.

I also think they are going to just have the one version of the console at a reduced price. It will probably be announced at e3 to steal some of the attention from Sony and microsoft.

Probably, there's a lot of retailers already that are discounting the Basic version to get rid of it. They probably won't be getting new ones. Didn't Nintendo recently say they'd release a white Deluxe? Haven't seen the Deluxe being discounted anywhere here.

By the way, NintendoLand is awesome. Definitely worth it. Best mini-game (which aren't so 'mini' actually, some are almost full-fletched games) compilation since the first Mario Party, maybe even better than that.
