I don't have a Wii U but if I had to buy one, I'd buy the basic one for dirt cheap and then spend the extra money that you need for the premium to buy a 500GB external hard drive.
I guess I'd be missing out on Nintendoland, but who really cares about that anyway when I can solve the Wii U's hard drive issue in one fell swoop.
