I'd consider myself a Japanese game fan, and working for Idea Fuck seems like a nightmare to me.

“Is there any specific genre you would like us to try next?”

Is "good games" a genre? How about making one?

Is Record of Agarest War really that bad? I have looked at it quite a few times but am unsure if I should bite or not.

I liked it. It's been a slow burn for me since it's such a super long strategy RPG. I did manage to convice Zucas to start playing it and he ended up beating it and Agarest Zero in a month. So, there are people out there who enjoy their games.

That said, heard some very good things about the 2nd and 3rd Hyperdimension Neptunia titles. I know Tor has said that they're big improvements over the first.

I might give it a look though, although it is more for my fiance than it is for me. Will need to look into it a bit more or possibly find a way to demo it.

She tends to be very bias towards the Disgaea style for these games, so i'm skeptical she will give it a shot.

Well, it's not nearly as zany or complex as Disgaea, but it has some cool features and techniques to its battle system that evolve nicely over time.

I have no idea, honestly. It didn't seem as terribad as Cross Edge (yeuuuuuuch!) but it certainly didn't grab me and I quit playing pretty quickly.

I am going to try Hyperdimension Neptunia one day if I can work up the nerve.

My advice would be to skip to MK2 as they improved quite a bit on the original.  If it does not appeal to you then the matter will be settled.

I'd like to play Record of Agarest War because it seemed interesting to me. Shamefully, the 360 version never made it into Europe.

If you like JRPGs, there's no reason to not get a PS3 alongside your 360! I imagine they're be another price cut soon.

(I do have the 360 version of the first and Zero though, the second was PS3 only)

I know, I know. But between my 360 and my mom's Wii, I just have my share of JRPGs and my wallet's empty. Perhaps with another price cut I'll might invest into a Ps3, but who knows.

But the problem comes when I'd also like to invest in a 3DS. That thing's promising. I'm at a loss, here T_T

Well, handhelds and consoles are different, but surely you can get a PS3 deal that's better than a 3DS deal. (not to mention the difference in the libraries is just staggering)

Damien Urvois has a career I could only describe as a Japanese game fan’s dream.

more like everything bad about a weeboo's wet dreams.

their games are bad, and I am sad to see them getting more popular than ever.

Remember boys and girls

Compile Heart = Shit

 Idea Factory = Shit

 GUST = Good

NiS (as a developer) = Good

All of them together = Compelete disaster.

Nisa is a very good publisher too, they cherish their fanbase and are easy to contact trough their forum. Their fanbase may represent 70% of their sales, but it suffice them,  wich is kind of a good score

True, but I am pointing out about them publishing Compile heart and Idea Factory games... those games are bad, and should not be published =/ , NiS wasting their money on them, and this is one of the rare cases where the publisher is better than the developer, NiS is too kind.

They have their public, and if they weren't profitable, they would have been dropped
