Late 2016- late 2017,pending developing markets. Nintendo drops wii in early 2014. Wii LTD sales end at 102 million.

It doesnt matter how long it took PS3 to reach 360 when we're comparing it to Wii. Wii isnt selling anymore. PS3 is to stay on the market for atleast another 4 years.

Nintendos projection is 2m Wiis in this FY, that means 101m shipped by april next year. Its basically dead, I wont be surprised if it gets discontinued next year.

PS3 will be produced until ps5 is shown, and sold in emerging markets. IT will pass the wii, it's just a matter of time.

I think you fanboys need to accept that Sony's not going to end this console generation in first place. Even with Gran Turismo 6 coming out, there's still no chance in hell of PS3 overtaking Wii.

im 100% positive it will pass wii at some point

as for when it is still questionable for me cause dont know where wii will end up but i believe ps3 will pass 100M shipped b4 2015 ends

i would also like to plug my thread b/c lezbehonest i first foresaw going over 100m back when console sales debates where hot and reading some of the posts in there are funny now

Yep. I was definitely wrong there... but to my defense that was well before it was obvious 3rd parties were not going to support the market leader and break from decades of historical truth.
