You're not bitter even if they destroy a franchise you love? You just simply..."move on"?

Capcom. They went to from being one of my favourite gaming companies around, to the worst. Why? Re-releasing whole new games instead of supporting their old ones. Basically killing off a lot of their old franchises.. And then, we have their shady DLC practices. It's like taking a giant dump on their fan base.

For me it would be Bethesda. Skyrim (PS3) was one of the few games I have bought day one this gen...and boy was it ugly! The amount of bugs, glitches, freezes, save files corrupted etc. etc. I ,really feared every time I launched the game that my PS3 will brick this time...I honestly felt like a little bitch, getting raped without any lube paying them 60$ for this mess.

I just buy the games I want and won't be bothered by some of the franchises dieing or changing to something I don't enjoy.That has happened so many times before and there always was something different to fill that void and often times even went beyond what was there before.

I'm not much of a franchise gamer anyway, I much prefer new IPs.

Namco-Bandai...they seem intent on destroying their best franchise(Tales)...I know they're trying to make amends with releasing Graces F and now Xillia(and hopefully Xillia 2) but the fact that they didn't release any of the DS versions; and now the remakes for the Vita, only one PSP game, one Wii games, made vesperia for the 360(atleast should've been multiplat) and then when the revised PS3 version came out they didn't release it to the west!!!

and then we had to listen to them say the west has lost interst in their titles and they'd be focusing mostly torwards Japan and on top of the when Xseed said they'd love to bring some of the titles to the west NB said NO!!! WTF NB!!!

Of the ones listed, I'll go with Capcom because I was such a diehard fan for so many years. They still show flashes of their old brilliance, but between their shitty DLC and DRM practices, their subpar outsourced games, their desire to kill the awesome Vita, and the departures of key talent like Inafune, Mikami, and Kamiya, they just make me sad a lot of the time.

But no one makes me sadder than Sega lately. They have always been one of the most quirky and creative developers out there, and have even brought it this gen when so many other Japanese devs have struggled. Valkyria Chronicles was a masterpiece, and they could have had a hit if they hadn't mismanaged it so badly by moving it to the dead-everywhere-but-Japan PSP. But they did, and now they don't want to do anything but flog Sonic and Total War. I kind of hate to say it, but I'm pretty happy that Aliens blew up in their face after they said it was one of the, like, three IPs they wanted to focus on going forward. It wouldn't really bother me if they just died at this point. Fuck Sonic.

Bear in mind that Uncharted was supposed to be set in a fantasy setting, with Naughty Dog charm all over it, but Sony screwed them and forced them to make it more modern.

The company that says it can't give CoD dedicated servers because building the infrastructure to support it would be too expensive, despite the fact that they make like a billion bucks on it every year. The company who's CEO got like an 800% raise for doing....nothing. That doesn't garner more votes?

The fact that Microsoft is only five points behind EA, and no one in this thread has made a comment about disliking that company makes me think that people just vote out of fanboyism. At least be brave enough and give a comment. e_e
