What r some Xbox games u guys would reccomend to someone who hasnt played it much?

tony listed most of em.. But let me add a fww more I really liked. Bloodwake! Gorgeous graphics! U drive heavily armed speed boats. Excellent phusics and and level design. One of my favoritegames. Too bad it didnt sell well. Steel battalion! Another bomb. But if you can aford the controller you will be in for a real treat. The only bad thing about the original xbox was that they made alot of failed content. So be careful Shit I almost for got Gunvalkyrie! Underrated sega gem.. Which reminds me pick up jet set radio future as well.

I always felt a little let down that the window never did anything but have the Xbox logo in it. I am glad the 360's center button actually does something - and lights up!

I though it was a bit odd when Microsoft announced they were going to make a home console. I think they brought a whole new 'mature' level to gaming. Where it wasn't just a toy for kids, but something adults could play and enjoy.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

While you are entitled to your opinion, you are discrediting well over a decade of non-console gaming (and not just on "conventional" x86 platforms).

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

To me it seems like they successfully brought certain genres that thrived on pc to consoles. While N64 proved u could make a great FPS on consoles, Xbox took it to the next level and WRPGs was another genre that had never really been on consoles til Xbox. If not for the Xbox, games like Halo, Doom 3, Butcher Bay, Jade Empire, Morrowind, KOTOR would probably be PC exclusives.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

My lovely Xbox.

This is a good point. I was never much of a PC gamer, so the Xbox allowed me to play Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Morrowind, etc.

@OP: I wasn't a huge fan of Xbox when it first came out -- the console was bulky and the controller was a trainwreck -- but the games (and the controller redesign) won me over. Halo was an eye-opener. I had so much with N64 shooters like Turok, GoldenEye, and Perfect Dark, but Halo surpassed even those gems. It's still, in my mind, the best first-person shooter ever made and the best launch game of all time, beating out even Super Mario 64.

Xbox also introduced me to BioWare for the first time. Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire really changed the way I thought about RPGs.

Ohhh, the first xbox. It was so ugly that it sometimes looked beautiful. The best hacked console ever. Without it we wouldn't have xbmc!
I remember many hours of Forza, Medal of Honor and some Mortal Kombat game in story-mode and of course Halo!

I bought Xbox on day 1 ..me and three other ppl waiting for kmart to open and getting the only available stock. Halo doa and oddysee. Original controller is the best. I got 3 of my friends to buy consoles. Morrowind was life changing.

Ah, I remember spending hours play Ghost Recon and GR:Island Thunder. Didn't care much for the series once GR2 came out though but thankfully I had my Halo.

I remember my teacher in Grade 10 was a huge Halo fan and students would bring their consoles to school to play Halo 2 in his classroom during lunch and after school. Can't forget all the LAN parties I used to have in my house too or beating all Halo levels on every difficulty with a friend.

Ah, so many memories...and Controller S was the best controller ever.
