Who was it that was saying that software wont help the Wii U sales? lol

Unfortunely Monster hunter 3G sales seem weak. That is a worry towards monster hunter 4 and the future of the series in the west. Hopefully it shows good legs. I plan to get it, just too swamped in my backcatalog. Hopefully EU's numbers are decent.

Did we REALLY expect it to outsell Tri on a much MUCH smaller launch base?

It could hit 500k on both versions if it has decent legs.

When you consider that its sales are split between two consoles it's actually doing alright. Almost as high as MH3's first week in the US.

Pleased by the WiiU numbers. Now hopefully it will be able to hold that level (or at least 50k/week) with the slow trickle of games that are going to be released. Fingers crossed...

Nice little WiiU boost, but not as big as I imagined.
It got 4 new games this week. [NFS, Walking Dead, Lego City (not in Europe though) and MH3U]. The next weeks are looking very very dry again.
Next somewhat noticeable game is Injustice on April 16th. Almost a month away. Then Resident Evil Revelations on May 21st.

Next week probably 40-45k and then back to sub 30k levels.

Gears of War actually made less people buy a 360. Who would've thought that ? :P

the games are selling like crap. I will better wait for NPD numbers.

Nice Wii U numbers in US this week, looks like LEGO City helped a lot! Monster Hunter a bit too.

Also it seems no matter how much Capcom markets Monster Hunter outside Japan, nobody will ever care. Hopefully they will at least make a little profit over the localization costs so the few fans there are can still enjoy future localizations.

3ds and ps3 still just about decent, the rest are just diabolical, especially the wii u and vita. Still, plenty that can be done though. Looking forward to the next NPD. Ps3 and 360+ god of war and gears of war are definitely undertracked for me. Don't believe in the size of those drop offs from GOW3 and GEOW3.

Out of interest, have there been any sales on Persona 4 in the USA? Just wondering why it re-entered the charts at #40.

In the UK charts Fifa 13 Vita re-entered and it has actually been discounted to £16 in GAME and on amazon I noticed today, although I don't know how long for.

Yep!  $10 drop in price on Amazon, I know for sure.  Mine came in yesterday after a bit of a delay.  Perhaps it sold more than expected.  It was also on sale on PSN, I think, so it probably actually did better than that.

Edit:  Just looked on Gamestop, $10 off there as well.

I think 100k is enough to make a profit

Don't be so certain, besides translation costs, there's also distribution logistics and marketing costs. Advertisement in particular costs a lot.

Yes I know. But this is a Wii port, so...
