Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Sell me a 3DS - I need 10 Exclusive Must Have Games

MRKs said:
Well the only must have for 3DS (and the reason I bought one) is Resident Evil Revelations, altough it's coming for consoles now. Also I am waiting for Soul Hackers , if you like old school RPG you may want to take a look.
The other good games (not must have in my list) are:

.Kid Icarus Uprising (Multiplayer is great, single player is good)

.Mario Kart 7 (The multiplayer is good)

.Theatrythm Final Fantasy (If you are a FF fan)

.Virtue's Last Reward (Its also on Vita, but this game is by far my second favorite of 3DS)

.Zelda OoT 3D (Must have if you didn't played the original)

.Kingdom Hearts 3D

.Harvest Moon: A new beggining (If you are a fan of HM buy it now, if not take a look it may seem boring but its addictive as hell, seriously)

And that's it, If I remember more, I will edit this post. Also, while we are on the subject, what Vita exclusive games do you recommend? I have Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Touch my Katamary and Ragnarok and waiting for Soul Sacrifice.

Thanks. Rayman Origins and Persona 4 Golden are easily the best games on the Vita, if you haven't played them already.

LBP and Wipeout 2048 are also good and Motorstorm RC and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack are both dirt cheap and offer a great value imo.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I will update this list which will help me make a desicion.

No. Must Have Interesting Research Not Interesting
1 Mario 3D Land Luigi's Mansion Fire Emblem Awakening Ridge Racer 3D
2 Zelda OoT 3D Proffessor Layton MM Theatrhythm FF DKC Returns (Wii)
3 Mario Kart 7 Castlevania LoS MoF Scribblenauts Unlimited
4 NSMB2 Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Animal Crossing NL
5 Pokemon X Y Mario+Luigi RPG Bravely Default
6   Kingdom Hearts 3D Project X Zone
7     Kid Icarus Uprinsing
8     Star Fox 3D
9     Etrian Oddesy
10     Soul Hackers

Upcoming games will be labeld as "Interesting" till they come out. Pokemon XY is different since I never played one and I have to know what's the deal with it.

I have a question, why is DKCR on the not interested list?  Is it because you've played it before, or is it you don't think its very good.  Because it is one of the best 2D platformers (and one of the best games) I have ever played in my life.

Also, I think "Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you Steal our Garbage?!!"  Could be up your alley.  Even if you've never watched the show it looks like a really good game.  Take a look at the reviews at least.

Yes it's an excellent game but I've already completed the game on the Wii :)

Consider Shin Megami Tensei: Devil SurvivorOverclocked...
If you can find it...
It received a limited print in the US and is coming to Europe eventually (or maybe it already did)...
Kid Icarus is great...
Paper Mario Stocker Star is by no means the best Paper Mario game, but it's not bad...
Fire Emblem Awakening is probably the best game on the platform...
Check out Code of Proncess and Heroes of Ruin (not necessarily must haves, but really freaking good)...
And then there's Pushmo and Crashmo...

Have a nice day...

Don't want to toot my own horn here (toot toot!), but I've created the 3DS Recommendation Guide just for this purpose. Everything should be up to date, except the Virtual Console games.

Hope that helps!

A very good exclusive is an older game from the first days of the 3DS - Ghost Recon Shadow Wars. Thats a Tactic-Game similar to Advanced Wars, but a little more lite-weight. Pretty long gametime, though.

In terms of digital only try maybe Mutant Mudds, Gunman Clive, Dillon's Rolling Western, Mighty Switch Force and Fractured Souls. I haven't played any of them but all interest me. I have gunman clive but am playing 100 other games atm...

Kid Icarus Uprising
Fire emblem Awakening
Devil survivor overclocked Mario3DLand
NSMB2
Luigis mansion 2
Paper Mario
Mario tennis Open
Mario kart 7
Castlevania Mof
Etrian odyssey IV
Braverly default FF
Monster hunter 4
Project X Zone
Prof. Layton
DQ VII

Plus get the XL, its much better.

I'd say the XL is worth it as long as you don't mind that some of the jagged edges in 3DS games will become slightly more pronounced. It's not ugly and stretched, but the fact that its the same 400x240 resolution on a bigger screen just makes some imperfections more noticeable. I still love my XL to death though, and I'm glad I bought it, I feel the 3D effect just pops more on a bigger screen.

As for games.. I've owned a lot, but here are the ones that I've found most enjoyable:

-Mario Kart 7

-Fire Emblem: Awakening

-Super Mario 3D Land

-Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy

-Resident Evil: Revelations (Story is cheesy, but most RE stories are. Coming to other consoles soon, though)

-New Super Mario Bros. 2 (A bit stale compared to the previous 2, but still a solid platformer)

-The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

-Star Fox 64 3D

-Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars

Then of course you have stuff like Pokemon X & Y coming later this year, as well as Animal Crossing & Luigi's Mansion.

Resident Evil Revelations is actually my favorite game on the system. Raid Mode is addictive and extremely fun.
