Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Ubisoft claims Wii U gamepad PERFECT fit for Watch Dogs

Ubisoft are still working out the features for the Wii U's GamePad, but Dominic Guay believes the themes of hacking and connecting through mobile devices make it a perfect fit for the system and its GamePad controller.

In an interview with DigitalSpy, Guay explains that the core features of "connectivity between players with mobile devices, the way you can control the city, the immersion," won't be hard to integrate into the Wii U's GamePad.

Guay also points out that main character "Aiden Pearce is using a device to control the city, so it's quite easy to imagine what we could do with that."

Watch Dogs is "already running" on the Wii U, Guay says, with a release on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and PS4 expected by the end of this year.

i can imagine how WD will play with the Wiiu controler..

Im quite excited for this game, the trailers ive seen look great.

To be honest I don't see Ubisoft spending the extra time and the effort to think of creative ways to use the gamepad.

This might just be damage control against Rayman for all we know.

This should be a game that Nintendo comes out and advertises for, much the way Microsoft advertises for some big multi-platform games, making sure to display their logo splash at the end. They should pay for custom ads which show off the gamepad being used for in-game effects. I don't mean with a room full of goofy children, either, but with people who look like they're used to core gaming, who look immersed in what they're doing.

This is what Colonial Marines should have been, a chance to display what makes the Wii U special.

Of course, I'm not going to hold my breath on that.

That's nice to hear.

because they want WiiU owners to buy their game :D

I'm really not interested in the whole "look up at TV, now look down at game pad, look back up at TV, look down at game pad" mechanic, I feel it takes me out of the game.

If I get this game it'll probably be the PS4 or PC version because it looks like the graphics engine is designed for high end PCs.

Not sure about that article, because in another that i read today, they haven't even started on the 360/Ps3 versions *Apparently*
