Forums - Gaming Discussion - I don't understand how anyone could ever trust MS's Next after this gen :/

Do you still trust MS enough to get their Next Console?

Key arguments -
Timed exclusivity vs real exclusivity
Gamers being abandoned by Microsoft
Tamed fanbase
"Trusting" a company before you buy a console

Holes in theory -
Too many to list

Civilized answer -
People buy what they like and they liked the Xbox and what it had to offer despite some of the problems like RROD.

Last gen PS3 came out late and everything they did was always slightly behind Microsoft. The big games came later, features came later or not at all and all with a console price premium and a bag of empty promises.

How could you trust Sony they will deliver with anything they said at the conference? Even they don't have a clue how the PS4 is going to look like or features its going to have. It may have streaming, or it may not...this sounds like a winning strategy.

Ok...

The only things I listed that aren't pure facts and are slight opinons are Timed Exclusives and Abbandoning of Fanbase, so what Holes?

And the fact they came first, did many things first this gen is great, yet now we are at the end of this gen cycle and they have changed for the worse in many gamer's opinon (maybe not yours and thats fine if not). Knowing what you know NOW about how they opporate, can you see youreself still giving them youre money? at least initially.

And for the PS4 comments, you know those don't hold up as real negatives at all. They gave us hard facts of how the system will work, its specs, etc. Not seeing what it looks like means very little, if anything. They said it will stream, what is unsure sounding about that? Thats not a maybe it is a reality of what the system will do. The only "Maybe" they mentioned at the Meeting that was of note is that "They will try to allow connectivity with as many devices as possible so you can play PS3/PS2/PS1 games everywhere". Everything else....in the bag.

Should I make a comparative list of all the PS3 and Wii's shortcomings as well from this past gen, or better let let you all come up with a comparative list to why the PS3/Wii were far worse options come this generation in. I look forward to seeing that.

Has anyone else tried Reese's Puffs cereal? It's like candy. I don't even poor milk on it, I just eat them as a snack dry. I'm not kidding it's freaking candy.

Anyone else have a good cereal suggestion?

I had some Raisin Bran Crunch for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was surprisingly good.  Didn't taste like cardboard the way plain old Raisin Bran does.

Also a huge fan of Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Fruity Pebbles.

I don't care for Raisin Bran either so I mix my own. I buy bran flakes and mix in raisins. It's much better because it doesn't have all that extra sugar they coat the raisins with.

What's the "Crunch" in Raisin Bran Crunch?

Granola clusters. I just cut out the fluff and buy a bag of granola clusters from Target.

OT: OP, People bought mustangs in the 80's. You should be able to answer your own question with that bit of knowledge.

I'm not a big cereal eater but I had a cereal that tasted like Big Red (red cream soda) a couple of month ago that was very interesting.  I had Reese's Puffs cereal a couple of times I liked it a lot also.

Big Red! Man it has been so long since I had one of those. I really miss having them now.

The most "hardcore" gamers are the ones that spend the most time playing, I can't think of multiplayer games that anyone plays more than Halo, Gears Of War, and Call Of Duty. COD sells best on Xbox 360, therefore it has the highest number of "hardcore" gamers.

ps3 seems to be a good system for people who like niche titles and action adventure games, or games that aren't really "hardcore."

Xbox 720 might do PS2 numbers, who knows. Peoples preferences might change and Xbox live subscription could become a norm like cell phone bills and rent.

God I hope Sony doesn't start charging too. I could see it possibly happening tho. Yet if both were doing it, it couldn't be seen as a glaring differentiator between them. Of course WiiU and PC's online structures would still be remaining free......

Damn it people!

I'm on a gluten free diet so its very hard for me to find good cereal. Best I found so far Leapin Lemurs. Look it up, its no Reese's Puffs that's for sure...

From the reactions of the people trying to purposely derail this thread, this is a likely true and sad reality.

Okay guys. The last thread that turned into a discussion about cereal was locked by me. This time it will end in moderations and tears if you guys don't stop derailing this thread.

If you don't have anything of substance to add to the discussion, than don't add anything at all.

Try General Mills Oatmeal Crisp. It's like heaven. Crunchy, oatmealy heaven.

Krave is another great cereal. It consists of tiny weat bars filled with creamy chocolate. I eat it for dessert, but I guess it could be breakfast too.
