It will increase it's sales a little. The question is ''will it increase sales to seriously push publishers into supporting the system?''. The answer to that question is the answer to ''will the price cut save vita?''.

Alot of ppl will call this a great move from Sony, but at the same time last time I've heard, Sony was still losing money on Vita at 250$, so a 50$ price cut will probably keep hurting them despite the increase of sales.

I have to say that the cut is just in time for the nice batch of games coming for the Vita. The drop and the games should boost sales quite a lot in March in Japan.

Beyond that, we'll have to see, I don't see it having a big impact outside of Japan in the long term.

Vita for $200 (incl. a game) have been available in several stores for months already so I don't see any huge improvements unless the cut is coupled with better marketing and more and bigger games.

Vita with 1 game has been 199€ in Europe for ages. They need to include a Memory Card, the price cut alone won't do it.

Pretty much what I've been thinking all along. It may be different in Japan, but we've already been at that price and below for a fair while, and sales haven't helped. Aside from FFX, I didn't see anything which may come over here to assist that situation.
