It looks like the Playstation 4 will use the same boring controller of 18+ years but with a touchpad (which I think is useless for the most part). I have said it before and I will say it again that the console with the novel controller which enables novel gameplay ideas will win the new gen. That's what the mass market wants. That's why I think Wii U will win sales wise. That leaves Microsoft with possibly bringing out something innovative but I doubt it because I don't think they are creative.

The Playstation 1 and 2 didn't have novel controller.

I've used this before but I'm going to use it again because it's perfect for this situation...

Um, I disagree. I think the Ps3 and 360 controller shouldn't change as they'll both very good.

If anything, sales show the market does NOT reward innovation.
