I don't see why it won't do those numbers. The install base is crazy and it's really finding a home in Japan. All the PSP owners are going to the 3ds instead of the Vita.

thats true! If the MH franchise gets big in NoA and Europe, this can probably get close to 9 maybe 10mil! [NoA=1.5mil],[Europe=1.5mil],[Japan=5.5mil] [RoW=0.5mil]

MH will never get that big out west. Just doesn't appeal to western gamers.

Dont forget this time its on 3ds (not trying to bring down psp,so pls disregard). The highest ever for america was a little over half a mil. Europe close to half a mil. Now its one of those franchises that everybody knows of now, i wouldn't doubt if it were to be big! We can estimate the game by seeing how well MH3 does next month! If by end of the year pushes over 500k i dont see why it couldn't do a mil if mh4 comes out (both regions each)... We'll have to wait and see. All i kno is japan might eat up mh4 more than any other game in its franchise

Since this game will only be out in Japan this year, it hinders numbers a bit. It a new mainline game though, so it should perform better than Monster Hunter 3G.

Easily better than 3G, and in the same area as Animal Crossing.
