Xbox 360 version is probably heaps better but I know I had a tonne of fun, haven't really played many third party wii games so I really don't have much of an opinion.

I would have add Sonic Colors, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Muramasa, A boy and his blob, Boom Blox, Rock Band in the poll.
Are Wiiware games also allowed?
The Last Story was funded by Nintendo and is also owned by it. That should be sufficient to call him first party or second party at least.

Anyway, judging by time spent on the game, I would go for Goldeneye. But Muramasa definitely was the game that pushed me into buying the Wii.

I voted "other". My favourite third-party game for Wii was, surprisingly, SSX Blur.

I also really enjoyed Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing & Sonic Colours. A lot of people disagree with me on this, but I thought Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers was great too.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex edition was a really solid game, too.

Never been a big fan of Monster Hunter personally, so although I'm sure the game was great, I didn't much enjoy my time with it. Goldeneye 007 was good fun, though.

If it's developed by an outside team but Nintendo fund the development/own the IP, I think that makes it second party.
