Rage-y?  I don't think so.  Can it really be denied that much of Nintendo's success isn't predicated on repetition?  In order to reach that point, Sony has to find something that can become a popular trend.  That goes far beyond monsters fighting one another or having a shallow character jump on stuff.  If they took the next 2D Mario game and turned it into another IP it wouldn't sell a fraction of what a generic Mario title would.  People have decided they'll like a Mario game the moment they see the box.  Sony has to find something that is popular in focus groups then market the living hell out of it.

Sure, it's true that I don't understand how people buy the same stuff over and over, but I definitely recognize the genius in what Nintendo has accomplished.  They're at a point now where the same people would buy anything Mario or Pokemon.  Even if it was horrible and the complaints came flooding in, those same people would buy the next version.  That's impressive.

What I'm saying is, to reach that point, Sony is going to have to find something trendy first, something that resonates with kids.  Kids really don't care that much about quality.  In order to find that thing, they should just throw stuff out there.  Anything that performs well in focus groups, throw it out there.  See if any of it catches on.  Then they can ride the wave for the next 20 years.

Isn't every successfuil game franchise repitition? Final Fantasy (and don't argue FF changed with 7, so did Mario with Mario 64), COD, Halo, Uncharted, God of War, Gran Turismo? It's always basically the same (yeah, Polygon-count increases). So that is nothing Nintendo-specific you talk about. And as my examples show, Sony does that also a lot. And don't tell me about the new IPs Sony did recently, people disregard in the same turn easily Xenoblade, Dillon, Pushmo, Rhythm paradise, Nintendoland.

Vita Games>3DS Games currently.

There nothing else that Sony can do. The Vita have good game out there, just no one want to jump in. I blame the PS3 for the Vita failure in America.

Kid Icarus, Resident Evil Revelations, Dillon's Rolling Western, Pushmo, ...

No, Vita have good games, but 3DS isn't inferior in this regard. They may be comparable with slight advantages on either side, depending which sort of game you prefer.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 3DS too but it in my opinion Vita games are more diverse. Currently the Vita  have good/great games in every single genre and you really can't say the same with the 3DS.

Vita has one game I want to play Gravity daze the rest I've either already played or console style games that I'd rather play on a console, Future wise don't really care about soul sacrifice from what I've seen so that just leaves demon gaze and Tales of hearts both of which haven't even been released in Japan yet and may never even get a release outside of Japan.

i don't know about you but the PSP's numbers "the so called dead handheld" still amazes me.

PsVita is still...........VITA.

I'm going to have to argue with you here; particularly if you look at the 2013 lineup.
