I'm not sure what you want me to do.

nothing if there's nothingyou can do lol. i was just wondering why we have 2 different cumulative sales for one game.

just makes you wonder whether Starhawk sold 200k, 70k, or 270k.

well first of all it's only 17k and not 70k so basically minuscule.

Other than that it looks like these are Japanese sales starting with week 3, since only week 1 and 2 are counted on the Starhawk sales page.
Though there would still be a gap of missing weekly sales.

missing sale eh? hmmm! yea i been noticed it was missing on the Starhawk sales page. i wonder how many wks are missing. (ending in a period means not a real question)

well if these numbers are solid, then Starhawk did better then perviously believed. ioi has the answers though. anway thanks.

TT: i'm sure Sly will get bundled.

Is the ps vita version cheaper too? If not I guess I'm going to get the ps3 version for game and then sell :).

Vita version will be $29.99, but if You buy the PS3 version for $39.99 you get the Vita one for free.

My opinion - This kind of scares me because I feel as if they don't expect the game to sell well. I know they say that's not the reason for the drop but that's just PR crap talk. I guess the increase in sales day 1 will balance out the $39.99 price tag. I just want this game to do good so that Sony can have confidence in bringing back series such as Jak & Daxter and make a proper Ratchet and Clank game. Also, to continue Sly Cooper.

It wont sell well though, they know this. OT: I will be buying this game day 1. I can't wait to play this on my vita

"It's a competitive market right now! We want to make sure this is a purchase you don't have to think twice about. It's gonna be a great game and we want to make sure as many people as possible to enjoy it =)."

Basically they don't have confidence in its sales potential. You want profit and as much as you can get, you dont lower the price because your nice and want to spread the joys of gaming lol. Not out the gate.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Interesting ppsychology from people here. People complain about $60 day one MSRP yet when someone goes lower immediate reaction is suspicion. This was always a wait and see for me, but nice to see price will not be an issue if it does turn out well.

I don't know I think the pre-orders for the game are pretty good. It should get almost 100k pre orders now since the price is lowered. I was expecting like 50k pre orders for this game max. We haven't seen Sly in action in 7 years I never thought people would be so intersted.

Games like Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time are exactly the reason why I prefer Sony's first party so much more than Nintendo's or MS's. They cater more niches.

Okay, so does anyone with intimate knowledge of the situation know how profitable a $39.99 PS3 game is if the development costs are the same as if the game were $59.99? Does Sly 4 stand to make any money at that price, or merely break even?
