You should give FFVIII a go too, if you haven't yet, you will NOT be dissapointed.

Honestly I dont' understand why people want the game remade. It's still a good game and it's available on PC and PSN. I think it should get ported to everything like all other 3rd party games.

Instead of a remake I'd rather it get an HD facelift. Same exact everything, put rerendered in HD. If they still have the game's source files they should be able to pull that off.

A remake would make sense from a business standpoint, but is it really needed? If the game is half as good as the way fanboys rave about it the game should hold up.

They should remake it in 3D as an exclusive for the 3DS. Heads would explode!

The only thing I agree with is about the weird stuff. If SE ever made a remake it would be like the darkest and grittiest thing ever, likely earning an M-rating, drawing from the dark and gritty streak of fantasy literature and gaming on the west nowadays, and possibly action-based gameplay like Elder Scrolls or FF Crystal Chronicles.
