I agree.

I don't even like playing KH, I just watch the cutscenes online, listen to the music, admire the art...etc. XP

Edit: ok how do u reply to someones post?? srry i am new here

Just click the quote button to quote somebody. Also, Crime and Punishment is an example of a great story while Kingdom Hearts is an example of dreck. I compare video games' stories to actual fiction, typically unfavorably.

I liked Crime and Punishment as well as Kingdom Hearts.  I think this has a lot to do with tastes.  I am sure that people feel the exact same way about books (looking at things like Harry Potter, Twilight, Pride and Prejudice, The Catcher in the Rye, etc.)

God of War. I understand why it's popular, but to me it's just a button masher with the most over the top manly man this side of He-Man. I have to be interested in a character to walk to play as that character and Kratos is nothing more than a walking mass of anger.

The main series, (especially 2 and 3) really drop the ball when it comes to Kratos' character. However, there's actually a bit of character development present in Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. Additionally, they're not really button mashers on the highest difficulty settings so I must recommend giving the PSP games a shot on God if you're willing to give them a chance.

No thanks. While I still feel they are button mashers I should have said brawlers. It's a genre that I haven't been interested in since my early days playing Golden Axe and TMNT in the small arcade room at my local bowling alley.

As for Kratos, I am well aware that the he has been expanded on, but it's he himself I'm not interested in. I have as much interested in knowing more about Kratos as I do learning about a Mortal Kombat character. BTW, I'm not interested in Mortal Kombat either. Muscle bound guys causing bloody rampages. Not my kind of game.

@MDMAlliance

I never really understood what was so great about The Catcher in the Rye but everybody else does so I guess it really is down to personal taste. However, I really can't objectively understand what would make Twilight anything but pure, unadulterated dreck.

@kain_kusanagi

I think hack 'n' slash is the term for games like God of War and Golden Axe. I specified that GoW isn't a button masher simply because button mashing will get you destroyed on higher difficulties, hence they're not really button mashers. I can understand not wanting to learn more about Kratos although I personally was pleasantly surprised by the scenes in Chains of Olympus that explain the source of his madness.

I hate Gears of War and Uncharted both are extremely overrated in my opinion.

Grand Theft Auto

The 2D ones were great fun, but since its gone 3D is the same game with shinier graphics. Plus poor controls and the same missions over and over. Drive to A, follow B, kill C and repeat.

This!!! I've been questioned by members of this site for saying this. So thank you Mr Linkvpit. Also COD has outstayed its welcome. I used to like them when it was based in WW2 as it used to teach people a little (Heavily Allied History) history.

I don't think I hate any franchise, although there are franchises I simple don't enjoy.

Like I said in the Nintendo thread I "hate" New Super Mario Bros. series, it's just boring. Next is probably Grand Theft Auto, I simple do not enjoy that game, highly overrated. Lastly, Uncharted, feels like I watching a movie more than playing a game, critically I understand why people like it, I just don't enjoy it at all.

Nintendo and PC gamer

I would say Gears of War, God of War, Bioshock and Halo. I never saw the appeal in them.

Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid
