Exactly - that's the difference between Wii and Wii U numbers. Wii U has not attracted the majority of the hardcore gamers at the early stage of its life, as the Wii did. However, this does spell good news for the Wii in the long run, IMO, as this means that these same gamers that abandoned the Wii early on will be the ones that will be picking up Wii U 2 -3 years after its launch and when it has really hit its stride with exclusive Zelda's and Metroids, etc.
