If a masterpiece it can be 10mil my bet is still 7-8mil, But then again look at SM3DL, We all know its gonna sell but at this rate lifetime seems like over 12mil to me! Long legs on a console not even 2 years old yet!!!

Yeah, but SM3DL is kind of a "main" Mario game while LMDM is a spinoff. It will have a much harder time selling this much than SM3DL. So yeah, bundling the game will help it a lot, this way more people will talk about the game which is pretty important for a spinoff.

BTW: This is my first day in the forum and I already really enjoy debating with you. That´s pretty neat^^ 

I think that LMansion 2 an outsell the original one, by 1-2 units.
I think that it's great that they decided to create a sequel, especially on the 3DS, since the original was planned to have 3D in it. I think it's neat, as this will show the potential it could have had in the beginning.

look at Animal Crossing! The original sold over 3mil but the sequel on ds sold an amazing 11.83mil

larger install base on the 3ds, 3ds is 2 years into it's life and has sold more then the gamecube opening up more people who may pick up a copy of scaredy luigi and maybe the game will have some good legs threw out the rest of the 3ds lifespan. If the game receives great reviews it will give alot of people the go to buy as they wont feel like they wasted money also it will probably be aviable on the eshop so more ways to buy. Plus looking at the video of the game play it has alot more content then the original, more then 1 mansion diffrent game mechanics added, everyone i knew who played the original said it was an amazing game just soooo short. I beleive the 3ds one will have more gameplay and hours for players to put into it.

Animal Crossing appeals to the kind of audience the DS had. That audience wouldn't have bought a GC for just that. But they would on a console that already has NSMB, Brain Training and Nintendogs. It suits a handheld better due to pick-up-and-play gameplay where you can just check up on your town and enjoy it.

Luigi's Mansion is clearly a core game, that is competing with many other core 3DS games (unlike GC launch), and that suits being played on a console because of longer average playtime and linear story progression.

Great points, I believe the game will be longer despite being on handheld, and to me this game seems more exciting then NSMB2!
This game has several mansions to explore, You better believe its gonna sell!
