10% interest in your product probably isn't a good sign. Just sayin'.

Amongst business users who expressed an interest... Apple is at 33%.   You are mis-interpreting and jumping the gun.

Just sayin'

If Windows8 phones can have a 1/3rd of Apples share in the near future I'm sure they will be overjoyed.  Not that i expect them to but thats a natural response to your statement.

But this doesn't say they are receiving 1/3 of apple's share, it says they are receiving 10% interest total. Which aspect of the current market that is coming from remains to be seen. Time will tell.

depends how you want it to look.  I want the Surface Pro myself.  But there are cheaper (less powerful) hybrids like the Samsung Ativ that do the same.

http://www.samsung.com/global/ativ/ativ_pc_pro.html

take a look, make sure you scroll down or watch the little movie.

Just checked it out, seems pretty cool, but I can't seem to find a lot of info.

1) Price?
2) How much internal storage does it have?
3) Does it not have USB ports?
4) Where can I buy it?

-_- I'm not surprised by who posted this.

Android Phones are a great alternative if you can't afford an iPhone IMO. It's not going anywhere and it can only get bigger over time since it isn't as closed as iOS.

Fact : The Reason Android sells its because the Phones sell for 19 euros!

Iphone sells for 600 euros!!!

Iphone at 19 euros or even 99e would sell 300m in 3 months easilly.

Android is not a monster, its just cheap, Ford sells better than Ferrari but it isnt better, iOS is much better than Android. Casual Consumers will buy Android due to price, people who know their shit will buy WP or Iphone, its simple.

For business its hard to beat Microsoft and Apple is also catching up with Ipad and stuff.

Meanwhile Casuals use Android with Phones that take 5 second to go from page to page, such a joke.

yep. Android is a great system and choice of devices, but for businesses that don't want to tailor anything directly iOS is better as its easier to get the same exact experience from the phone and tablet currently. However, as Nexus devices mature and tablet specifics for Android grow, that will become a non-issue.

Most big employers are actually allowing the "bring your own device" mentality however. My job is shifting from focus on Blackberry to iOS as we speak for devices they provide. However, the user can provide their own device (of any smartphone) with the condition they accept certain software being installed and the capability that the company can remote wipe the device at any time.

Wait, the issues for businessmen will work themselves out eventually?  Could you expand on that?

Is it that the android OS isn't as robust or well built, or the fragmentation issue or something else?

Fragmentation is probably the bigger issue here. Google has been taking steps to mitigate this and a big part of that is the Nexus platform.

Oh fragmentation then?  Well that should be the most easily solved issue, I mean google can always just update less and make it a priority to have fewer versions of the platform, but even then I kinda have the feeling that there are better solutions available for those that might have technical know-how, it just escapes me though.

I also think that google will be improving its google docs since its now becoming a paid product, which should make it more popular with the business crowd if anything.

Great news for Apple

It's not quite that simple considering most phone manufacturers modify the Android OS with bloatware and other crap. They also get the final say on when they update each phone model (if at all). Google best bet is to expand the Nexus brand (vanilla Android) with devices tailored to relevant markets.
