Forums - Gaming Discussion - I sold my 3DS to save up for a WiiU

Anyone that read your 3DS posts knows that you don't like hand held gaming.

Anyone who's read his WiiU posts knows that he doesn't like Wii U gaming.

I haven't bought one because the current 2013 lineup is very disappointing. Maybe a holiday 2013 price cut and redesign, with a brighter outlook, and a better eshop will convince me.

Have fun waiting two months for your next big game! Ot will probably eventually be on the WiiU anyways.

Not sure what you mean by this. Unlike a lot of people here, I don't need a constant stream of major releases to keep me occupied. I'm still working my way through Xenoblade, and have The Last Story waiting for me when I finish. I simply don't feel the need to invest in a Wii U yet, and I don't "blame" Nintendo for that or hold it against them. As for 3DS, I never had a DS, so I have a whole back-catalogue of games to play if and when I want to. The only new retail handheld games I've bought this year are Kid Icarus: Uprising and Pokémon White 2. My next 3DS game is coming February 4th, and if it was coming any sooner I wouldn't be playing it until February at the soonest anyway.

And I'd better buzz through Fire Emblem, because after that my next big 3DS game is Monster Hunter in March. Naturally, this is ignoring all of the eShop and Virtual Console games I'm interested in. But of course, I was patient enough to wait until there were games I wanted to play before buying a 3DS.

Make sure to get Trine 2. It's 30% platforming, 70% puzzles, only $ 15 and one of the most beautiful 2D games I've ever played (only rivaled by other beauties like Muramasa). Owners love it, which you can see when you check its Miiverse community - probably Wii U's best feature. You won't regret it.

Wow, it must be strange having a 3ds in another part of the world. I have so many 3ds games I haven't had time to play all of them. The onslaught began late last year and has been nonstop since then. MK7, SM3DL, MH3G, DQM:Terry, NSMB2, Bravely Default, Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, Fire Emblem, SD Gundam G Gen 3D, Taiko no Tatsujin, KI, RE:R... Those are just off the top of my head. I have many more 3ds games.

Then there's AC which just came out and Paper Mario. DQ7, MH4, Super Robot Taisen UX in Feb/March. The 3ds has so many good games, way too many to play.

I was going to buy a Wii U, but the large 3ds library as well as my 360 still chugging along have caused me to delay my purchase for awhile.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

You've sold your 3DS because it doesn't have enough major titles, but you're buying a Wii U? This makes no sense at all.
