I'm not qualified to call it the best ever, but Xenoblade has a terrific soundtrack. My sig is one of my favorite tracks. :D


It's amazing how many great tracks from Xenoblade only appeared in a single cutscene.

Agreed 100%, those are my two favourite soundtracks as well, in any game. Both masterful soundtracks.

FF8 was my favourite Uematsu soundtrack and Xenogears my favourite Mitsuda soundtrack. These two are my two favourite composers in videogames.

Basically. Some people use the phrase 'second-party', but I don't think that's technically a real phrase. The game was made by Monolith Soft, who is owned by Nintendo, and published by Nintendo. Xenoblade is just as much first-party as Metroid Prime, Smash Bros, and Kirby.

This is slowly turning into the Xenoblade music thread and I am completely okay with that. lol.

Shulk can and should be in SSB4. Monolith Soft is making a Wii U game, reportedly a new IP, and it seems to be decently far-along in development. I hope to have some solid details about it before the end of the year. Supposedly they are also working on a 3DS game, possibly another Baten Kaitos game.

Some Baten Kaitos music to keep things on-topic.
