Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NOA has some giant ballz! What other company can get away with not releasing any games during the Holidays?

Is Sticker Star that bad? I've put it on my christmas list, now you are making me nervous.

It is not.

Sony.

NSMB2 is effectively a "fall" game for Nintendo even if it technically is a late summer release.

There's Style Savvy and Professor Layton.

Honestly how much of a difference would Fire Emblem have made? Would've sold maybe 100k?

I expect Fire Emblem to become the best-selling game in the franchise out West.

So 85k, maybe 90k.

I am obviously not talking about the WiiU. I give two shits about the WiiU being released. There is no acceptable reason for a company to not release games. The UDraw tablet had nothing either. Should people who bought it b happy it had no games?

Your blind dedication to Nintendo is laughable dengle. Downloadable games? Who the fuck cares about that whit? "Mommy, can I have a downloadable game for Christmas. An Indies game.."

How about NOA stop being a tucking Pussy! I give a shit about what NOE does. I do not live there.

How dare Reggie and his Crony crew allow this travesty!

NoA doesn't develop games, they are developed in Japan. Reggie doesn't have any say on what gets released, his job is to market and distribute the games that get released.

The 3ds is looking grim for 2013 as well. Really really disappointed in the system. We have luigi's mansion dark moon, which looks terrible, no portrait ghosts?! The you have animal crossing and Fire emblem. Two games that will be good, but really what else is there after that? Nintendo is doing a terrible job with the 3DS. They have whored mario so hard it's not even funny, and the games haven't even been good. 3dland was the worst 3d mario, NSMB2 was lazy and dull, mario tennis is lol, Mario Kart 7 was just meh, and Paper mario sticker star was perhaps the biggest misstep in the series. I was expecting better, we still have no sign of Zelda, Smash Bros, Pokemon, Metroid, StarFox, F-Zero, donkey Kong. If you count Luigi's mansion, they have basically pushed 6 mario games on one console in three years. The library on this system is just pathetic. The only games that offer any saving grace are Kid Icarus, and Revelations. Other than that I honestly have not enjoyed my 3DS. What a depressing start to Nintendo's new generation.

Not everyone buys games as soon as they come out, and if you ask me there's plenty of choices on 3DS that have come out this year for those who wait until Christmas to buy games.

Paper Mario Sticker Star
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
New Super Mario Bros 2
Crashmo
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Kingdom Hearts 3D
Resident Evil: Revelations

If someone owned all the games above (and more), I'd say they've been buying plenty of 3DS games.

didnt they have a couple of games delayed? if so then there was pretty much nothing they could do and had to go in the holiday with a weaker line up

It's hard to juggle games during a system launch, so I wouldn't really hold that against them all that much. I'm sure they're doing what they can with the resources they have.

It's the abandonment of the Wii that I don't get. No other manufacturer could have done that without at least some anger from their fans.

For me it's always hard to juggle games, not only at launch.

Can we even call them the HD twins anymore now that the Wii U is out?

I suggest the term HD triplets.
