Which given Microsoft's PR last year (claimed they sold the most WW) means we clearly undertracked the 360 last year yet that never got adjusted up. Perhaps thats why they've been stealth adjusting weekly this year in the US (showing overtracked) and why the figures aren't as close as they usually are to NPD as they make up for cocking up last year.

You need to take PR with a grain of salt. Show me where they say last year they sold more for the year WW and I will show you shipment figures

i know you know better then to believe that. those who care will cheer. those who don't care will say, it happened when the 7th gen ended, or some BS like that, and everything we've talked about the whole of the 7th gen. will be brought back into a pointless conversation that need not have been had in the 1st place.
if PS3 out sales 360/Wii at anytime, then it won't matter when it does. it will matter that it did. you know that's all fans care about in the end? it will be worse if 360 is still on the market, then that adds to the fire, saying 360 was a fluk, giving more to the arguement XBOX3 won't win the 8th gen.
yea talk about how it starts, but what's always more important is who's on top when all are discontinued.

WOW! PS3 beats 360 this week. If Ps3 can do that the rest of the year it will change everyones views. However, VGC just readjusted to preadjustment levels when NPD showed they needed to adjust down. I believe the Ps3 may have beat the 360 a little more than whats shown
yea, i saw a post where'n it was said Sony said they sold 70m at th end of Nov. i think it was.

Shipped 70 million in the last week of October. That week started in October but finished in November. I really find it hard to believe Sony didn't need to ship any units in November. Obviously they did and I full expect the shipments that they shipped in Oct to be sold through during the week of BF with the shipments starting in Nov starting to be sold.

they had to mean shipped, otherwise there would be an bigger gap between PS360 sales, and our sold numbers wouldn't match, or be close to shipped numbers.
remember, PR is the BS businesses want you to hear, you have to fact check for yourself. Nitendo show reports of console sales every yr. for comparison.

ok, so Sony won. i think we had Sony a bit over 14m or so. i'm sure it was adjusted.
