The system was first announced at E3 2011 so that should have given developers enough time to get something ported. If they will be released for the Wii U its disappointing only because the unannounced games at this point are bringing a lot of negative press to the console. No one likes to be left in the dark. Many other ports like Injustice & Battlefield 4 have been announced so why hold out on others if any? I can understand waiting to announce exclusives but I see no logic in last minute announcements on third-party titles unless its a revamped version.

But for me, as long as its also released for PC with controller support I could care less what console its on!

I think the latest crystal dynamics hint is for a WiiU version of Tomb Raider

We just have to face the fact that third-party developers would rather bankrupt themselves (like EUROCOM, THQ) than make games on Nintendo's systems.

I'm looking forward to the next one.

Im sure they missed a great deal of profits by not releasing games on Wii

There's no reason for them not to announce a Wii U version if one exists.

Oh, right - you know every subtle detail about the internal workings of developers and publishers, and know every deal, every limitation, every restriction involved.

It's not at all possible that Sony and/or MS paid for the developers to not specifically confirm a Wii U version yet. It's not at all possible that Nintendo asked for no confirmation so that they could do a big reveal for themselves. It's not at all possible that developers don't want to officially confirm a Wii U version because development on the new platform is not guaranteed to be finished at the same time as the others (and they don't want to have to "delay" the Wii U version). It's not at all possible that there are features in the Wii U version that need to be shown off separately, and thus the developers or publishers want to have a special reveal for the Wii U version. And it's not at all possible that these games have been announced by paths that are typically watched by PS3 and 360 owners, and not other people, and thus they emphasise the versions that matter to those who are watching.

It's like ads for the 360 version of Black Ops 2 - the fact that the ad doesn't mention the PS3, Wii U, or Vita versions doesn't mean that those versions don't exist.

Here's something to think about - even Nintendo hasn't officially announced any Wii U titles for release later than March 2013, with the exception of Pikmin 3. Does this mean that even Nintendo doesn't have Wii U titles coming after then? Of course not. And in the same way, the fact that other developers haven't confirmed titles for the Wii U means nothing.

By the way, Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 were both released for the Wii. Neither one was officially confirmed by Activision prior to release (or at least, not more than a week before). What reason did they have for failing to announce these games? I mean, it takes ten seconds to add an "also available on Wii" note in fine print at the bottom of the reveal trailer with an asterisk to indicate that there's a condition on the statement (referring to the fact that the trailer represents the PS3 and 360 versions).

Similarly, EA announced NBA Jam for the Wii, then announced it later for the PS3 and 360. So it's not a one-directional thing, it's not "the Wii version is the black sheep version, they don't want to mention it". Simply put, neither you nor I have anywhere near enough information to know whether those games are coming to the Wii U, or why they didn't confirm them for the Wii U. Let's wait until the games are released before deciding what's going on.

Firstly pikimin 3 was due before March 2013 but was delayed. So technically no game annoucements past March 2013.

All your points are indeed valid, but at the same time I can see where Soundwave is coming from as the history speaks for itself really. Is he jumping the gun? perhaps, but he is doing so because he wants the Wii U to have great 3rd party support.  All he wants is some reassurance that Wii U has somewhat of a bright future.

Unlike Soundwave, I am willing to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt atm as the console just launched and we have seen some positive signs like the Ninja Gaiden 3 work and Bayonetta 2

In the end I will not be surpsied if the same scenario plays out as with the Wii. I have accepted that, but at the same time I will be dissapointed as for example, I was dissapointed that a real RE game didn't come out on Wii with motion controls like RE4.

If it does turn out that 3rd party don't want to support the Wii U, Nintnedo will need to accept that this has happened over the last several generations. They need to bite the bullet and change their buisness model to be more aggressive by creating more studios and buying out a few, even if it is jsut to secure franshises in order to create the mature western games some gamers are looking for.

No gamer who likes to play games like Dark Souls, Metal Gear, Bioshock owns a WiiU only. So why bother developing those game for the WiiU?

the reason why these games havent been announced for wii u is because its not in development.

Why? simple. these games have been in development for 2+ years already. Wii U just released this month.

^.^

I am wondering why many people are airheads. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand the reason. Or does it?

Not enough time, install base not high enough to justify cost, profit return questionable, reasonable business decisions. If a Wii U version ever comes, good for Wii U only owners, otherwise not surprised.

I read this in Mordin's voice even before I scrolled down to see the picture of him haha, nicely done

If most third parties do indeed end up doing the same thing with Wii U as they did with Wii, I think Nintendo needs to choose the publishers and developers that put real effort into their systems, and get closer to them.

Ubisoft is a major one on this list. Nintendo needs to develop a closer relationship with Ubisoft.

Another noteworthy publisher is Marvelous Entertainment, which is a publisher that would benefit greatly from a closer relationship with Nintendo.

Third on the list is Sega, but I think Nintendo should just buy Sega entirely. There's a great combination of synergy and complementarity between the two.

Some lesser examples are Namco Bandai, Tecmo Koei, and Warner Bros Interactive.

And, of course, the independent and semi-independent developers, like High Voltage Software, Platinum Games, and Treasure.

Even before Sega, I'd have Nintendo buy High Voltage Software. They seem to be very engine-oriented, and did a great job, engine-wise, with Quantum3 on the Wii. Combining their technical quality with Nintendo's artistic quality would make for incredible graphics. Pair HVS up with Retro, with a little oversight by Miyamoto, and I think you'd have an incredible game.

I'd also suggest that Nintendo approach Treyarch to convince them to design a game specifically for the Wii U. I think they'd be open to the idea, and I think Activision would be fine with the idea so long as Nintendo put up most of the money for it.

its only been out a week,it's a bit early for the "third party" syndrome, give us a little break from this i've been reading about it for years and years,

the WiiU is going to get most of these games i would think
