This makes no sense really. WiiU has parental controls with game rating limits for a reason. eShop should simply utilize this.

Which says nothing about the Wii U having several right at launch including a game Nintendo are publishing themselves.

This is horrible, to be honest, and somewhat insulting, not unless there is a way to turn that off in parental settings. Seriously, unless you can alter this for people who don't even HAVE kids, then there is no defending it.
