I'm not the one who was talking about it.....I just said they owned R&C and somebody is milking it wether it is sony or Insomniac.  Still this game should have never been backed up in the first place

But I'll give my theory too. Insomniac isn't owned by Sony. They don't have to do anything they don't want to do. Sony could encourage them to do something, but again, they don't have to do it if they don't want to. The choice is completely their owns. Also, how would you even know if Sony encouraged them to keep making R&C games? Because you think they didn't have fun pumping them out? More theories. If Sony made Insomniac keep pumping out R&C games, why didn't they do the same to Naughty Dog with Jak & Daxter? Especially considering they own Naughty Dog. You would think if Sony had the balls to tell a third-party publisher what to release, they would also do the same to a developer who they actually owned.

Either way, just theories and speculation.

Whatever you say man. Still Sony allowed them to milk the franchise, so it's partially their fault, which makes my first statement at least 50% right (if not more), whereas your point seemed to be that it's purely Insomniac's own decision how many games they make for Sony and that Sony would not let another dev work on the series if they don't release a game on a yearly basis (which they did for many many years).

As far as I know, Insomniac has two development studios. They have one in Burbank, California, with the other one being in North Carolina. The one in NC made All 4 One and I think Full Frontal Assault, while the Burbank office made all the other R&C games. So maybe it is the NC office that shouldn't be making the games anymore.

The most logial theory is Sony and Insomniac have a contract for a certain amoutn of R&C releases. So if Sony goes we want a new game Insomniac has to honor the contract.

Insomiac: Were soooo bored. Well just make a R&C game for the hell of it. Hell well make like half a dozen this gen. That will fill up our schedule. That cool  bro?

This series went seriously downhill after all4one and the multiplayer focus. Ratchet and clank is my favorite series of all time. 3 is my favorite game of all time. Acit is my favorite game this gen. It contains 3 of my top 10 games of all time (going commando also) and had no bad entries until then. Now they go multiplayer for some reason. It's a shame :(
