Forums - Gaming Discussion - Wii U is getting rare Pier Solar (Old School JRPG Style) in addition to Dreamcast, Xbox 360, PC and more

What platform will you buy Pier Solar for?

Dreamcast 22 14.57%

Xbox 360 19 12.58%

PC/Mac/Linux 5 3.31%

Mobile 0 0%

Wii U 73 48.34%

I allready have it for Sega Genesis 3 1.99%

I don't buy RPGs 4 2.65%

I'm going to pirate it 2 1.32%

I allready pirated it 5 3.31%

I confused 18 11.92%

Total:151

I played this game and I felt it was a tad overrated IMHO. Yes it's old school but didn't need to be so cliche.

Also, it's a lame joke they're not bringing it to PSN.

So I just did some research on this. It looks like the HD version allows players to unlock the original Genesis graphics, which is great news.

The Dreamcast version is the way to go, I think. But which to choose: regular or collector's edition? What do you think kain?

If all you care about is playing the game the regular version is the way to go. I went with the collector's edition because I'm a Sega collector and I know it will be one of those rare gems. If I had the even rarer Genesis edition I'd probably just go with the regular, but since I don't this is my chance to grab a collectable.

It looks like one of the funding options includes the Genesis version, but it's pricey.

Yeah, that option is more of a "Give us a ton of money and we'll gift you a prize" The other options are much more like, "Buy this thing so we can sell it to others".
