so a new game selling 130K in usa in its first week is a MAJOR flop? sony haters are unbelievable sometiems

For what people made it out to be yeah it is.  I don't know about Rol or where his loyalties stand but this has nothing to do with hating sony, at least on my part.  This has something to do with the ridiculous predictions for this game.

yes, turkish's 5 million sales predictions is ludacris if you ask me, for example uncharted 3 just this week broke that milestone. but i dont see how this is a MAJOR flop. in a week were discounted games and discounted systems dominate sales, i dont see how a new 60$ game well sell very well. 130 is pretty good for a new game like all stars, legs will define its sales, but in no way is it a major flop, or even a flop actually. its just ok sales

every game will have its ridiculous predictors. As you know, nearly everyone predicted Halo 4 to sell more than it did first week. Doesn't mean its a flop. On the other hand, most people predicted lifetime sales for PABR at around 1-2m, which it should do.

I'm surprised that the sales for this game are so low, I expected that it would be a little higher. While this is a good game, Sony has to stop copying other successful games. Hopefully this game and LBPK bombing will get them to stop.

Sales aren't too bad actually (in America). At this rate, it should crack a million.

well looking at Twisted Metal which had a 100k higher US launch and so far similar numbers in Europe, it might not make it to a million.

It's the wrong part of the generation to launch new IP's, but American sales aren't bad, its Europe that really dropped the ball :/

Twisted Metal would course have a disproportionately high first week. It's a long established hardcore franchise. But most importantly, its online was broken after release which killed its legs. If it had a working online, I have no doubts that it would sell a million. Look at other Sony exclusives like Ratchet & Clank, which go on to sell 1.5-2.5m with sub 100k first weeks in USA. Now consider the fact that PABR would automatically have a disproportionately low FW because its a new IP. It's should have enough legs to sell at least one million, even without bundles which I think it will have.

I realise the nature of this thread, but if this game had:

Crash Bandicoot
Spyro the Dragon
Solid Snake
Lara Croft
Cloud Strife
Ezio/Altair

...apart from the ones already there, the roster would be semi-decent. As it is... meh. Can't comment on gameplay though.

I said from the beginning (wello at least after the beta)  that this game will not sell more than a million unless it gets bundled and I still believe that.  It may pull of 700k-900k without a bundle but I dont see it doing better than that.  Now the next game, if they really improve it then it could do much better.  What I'd like to know though, and if someone has the information tell me, how much does this game need to sell to profit?  That is what is important.

Aw come on, we gotta wait until AFTER Christmas to judge it! As it is with everything Sony!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

so you call it a flop now because you *think* it won't sell over a million units in the future? Even though its perfectly plausible that ther wrong? Okay.
