Microsoft, more chance of a third party exclusive selling on the 360 and hence make a lot of money.

Depends upon the genre. Racing and fighting games are typically more popular on the PS3. Sandbox games also seem to do very well along with soccer and JRPGs.

If I did a game it would be a RPG so I think I guessed right .  I agree genre is important as Mad World would have sold a lot better on PS3 and 360 imo.

Then I'd say that you chose well. Also, I agree about Mad World, it would likely have performed better on the other systems. BTW, how would you describe your RPG?

Apple or XBL but assuming it must be a retail game: Nintendo.

Reason is pretty cynical: I could buy the rights to some old classic platformer: Say Earthworm Jim, Bonk or Vectorman - hire some old-school talent and let them go wild with making a fantastic but focused platformer.

Do some targeted marketing to those old enough to remember the classic games and if I get 100,000+ sales, I've made a profit.

If we can pretend cost/profit factors don't exist, I'd make an updated Freedom Force for Wii/WiiU/3DS with online multiplayer on WiiU/3DS and local multiplayer on Wii/WiiU

Nintendo. That way there would be a greater chance of me affording the development costs. Also, the Wii U controller opens up for some awesome co-op possibilities!

Second choice would be Microsoft. They seem to cater more to the FPS crowd than anyone else, which is the main genre I would want to create a game based upon. Some extra sales is never a bad thing. Oh, and because I love their controllers!

Sony consoles? Naaah, there would be far too much competition from other new exclusive IP's

As a developer i would have skill and would understand each system
I would be on the level of Naughty Dog

If this is the case then the decision is easy > Playstation 3
I would get the most out of the system - No other system comes close(not counting WiiU or PC right now)
I would have a lot less limits than i would have with the Wii or 360.
My game wouldn't be a FPS so it would fit better on the PS3 anyways.

If the scenario is > I don't have any skill
I would make a copy+paste shooter for the 360 and get rich.
No risk here and i wouldn't need that much money to make that game or convince someone to give me the money i need.
The 360 is easy to understand - Probably even would use the Unreal 3 Engine cause a monkey could work with it so easy is it.

But i would love to work with the PS3 and for example Naughty Dog.
Imagination and creativity has no limits...Story,perfect graphics, nice gameplay and all that stuff would be possible aka a Unique Game/Franchise.

Nintendo - because I would want to make a cool game that utilizes the Gamepad. The game would be something like an RPG like Baldurs’s Gate that would be very menu intensive, so using the Gamepad would make sense. You would move and control your characters with the tradition buttons and controls but do special things like swap in and out characters, select magic and skills on the fly with the touch screen.

Nintendo Network ID: DaRevren

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

Sony.

Sony. They dont hold themselves down to specific genres like the other two and there is more room to grow. The sky is the limit.

Sony, so I could finally play Legend of Dragoon 2.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Sony, cause I kinda already am.

What do you mean?

I'm in the early stages of making a Vita game. It's just a side project of mine but the dev kits are cheap enough that a PSN game is realistic.
