I have a Sony 3D LED TV, and I am Loving it!
Sony has better quality than samsung. Period.

People are choosing Samsung not Sony...
Make the maths.

Samsung sells at a lower cost.
Picture quality wise, Samsung and Sony are mostly on par with each others.

I see you have used the terms "dead" and "last breaths" when talking about Nokia I can also see that your posts are becoming more irrational each day that passes... I think you may be questioing yourself and wondering if you should flip your allegiance back again. It must be tormenting for you. lol Lets examine your original post which said Nokia is dead. (it will work for last breaths too)
Nokia share price last 4 months: up 100% Nokia share price since Lumia 920 and 820 hit the stores: up 35% (in less than 2 weeks) Nokia market cap: $13.39 bn Assets to Liabilities: 1.61:1
Lets contrast that with your favourite company...
Sony share price last 4 months: down 28% Sony share price since recent earnings release: down 15% Sony market cap: $10bn Assets to liabilities: 1.19:1
Now, by YOUR definition (not mine) who is dead or taking last breaths again?
You should stay away from financial discussions if you cant interpret data in an objective way. |
Sales of smartphpones will decline, which will be shown in Nokia next quarterly report. The share will take a huge hit from that and never recover.
Also Nokia as a company is losing grip of its thirdl world market because they can't offer a cheap smartphone with the Win Phone platform.
A couple of more years tops and Nokia is dead/bought out.
Sony is in much MUCH better shape than Nokia.
Sad to see Panny struggling too... they make the best plasmas, with Samsung a close second. Almost all of my TV's from 2000 to today have been Panasonic, and I never had a problem with any of them.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Its not difficult to push a $1.70 stock to $3.50 which nokia essentially did. Its still down 90+% since its peak but nice cherry picking on the time frame for the stock though.

Tell that to THQ. You don't seem to understand how market cap and share value work, that's why you have said that.

Please tell what to THQ? They had a reverse stock split to try to raise their share price, which a lot of companies who have stocks under a dollar do. I dont know how that relates to market cap, share value or nokia moving from a low base or what you are trying to imply. Please try not to troll my posts.

It is very difficult to increase your market cap in a 100%. It doesn't matter if your share value is 600 US$ or 0.60 US$, the market cap doubles in both situations. If it's so easy to double the market cap, why Sony only goes in a downward spiral? Maybe they should hire you to teach them how to do so.
I don't have to troll your posts, you do so by yourself.
